8-7-21 I went to look for a specific vehicle I have wanted for awhile. I was very nervous at first looking for a car and hoping it was available. My salesman was Chris R. To be honest, he was one of the best sales people I have ever met. Very knowledgeable and helpful. He took care of me and did everything in his power to get to where I wanted to be. Very professional but also down to earth and personal. I will definitely recommend people who are buying Honda to ask for Chris specifically. You wont regret it. Marriage V. We bought a car from you in August. We made a deal fairly quickly and were paying cash, however we had to wait for quite a few hours. You made an appointment for our transmission to be flushed. When I got there they did not have me on the schedule. They did agree to service my car and said it would take about 2 hours which I was expecting. It didnt even take an hour. My husband checked it when I got home and said it didnt look flushed. I also brought a short list of other concerns that we had, which we feel should have been addressed by Honda. A manager took a picture of the concerns and said that honda would address them. He said you were going to call me, but I never received that call. We feel like our business is not a priority.Wish our business was more important.Steven and Kathy Harrison

We recently bought a used Honda vehicle from Schaumburg Honda. We found the vehicle online, with their easy to navigate website. Their website gave excellent details for us to evaluate and decide if this used vehicle was for us. As soon as we called Schaumburg Honda to discuss the vehicle to the time we purchased, we had excellent service. We were first serviced by the internet team, which did a great job in answering our questions and handing us for a test drive at the dealer location. When we went in to meet the sales person, Ricardo and the manager, Michael, they were both extremely helpful and informative. After the test drive was completed, the paperwork was completed with efficiency. Within one day, we were able to purchase the vehicle. We had wanted to add a roof rack and Manager Mike took care of the details and helped us add it on the next day within the service department. Cheers to a great team at Schaumburg.

I figured 2 months after I bought my first car, it was time to extend my compliments to the staff.First off, Ray was/is my salesman. I only say is because I’ve had a ton of issues with my car so I am still dealing with him. Now - I know saying “a ton of issues” isn’t exactly a favorable thing to say, but I bought the managers demo of my car so I almost expect it since a manager (who I don’t think drove very well) drove it before me. Now, this is starting off pretty bad.. just wait, it gets better.My car issues made me feel like the experience was about a 3/5, but my salesman, Ray, made it about a 7/5 experience so that averages out to 5, right? I kid, kinda. See, when I did have an issue with my car (some defects, some at fault of the manager who drove the car before me), Ray figured it all out for me. I felt like he was my biggest advocate, especially in the service department. The sales manager, Kyle, was great as well. Especially being a young girl (don’t worry, I brought 2 men with me just in case) it is super scary to know that salesman are known for just trying to squeeze anything out of you that they can. I did not feel like that at all with Ray. He was honest, upfront and continued to be there for me even after he sold me my car. Kyle as well. When Ray was busy, Kyle had my back and got to my concerns quickly and efficiently, like a manager should. It’s really rare to find that especially after they make the buck off you. I can tell it wasn’t like that for Ray. I had his personal number and he made me feel welcome to text or call him with any concerns and every concern I did have, he took care of. Even when I did have issues, they gave me a rental car so I didn’t have any inconveniences about not having my car even the 3 times I came to get it serviced. My car is great and I would recommend Ray to any of my friends looking for a Honda.Thank you, Schaumburg Honda! Give that man a raise or promotion!

Had some confusion regarding a warranty and customer service was very patient with me, even though I was at fault and causing a delay for the both of us. Oil change and tire rotation is, well, a bit slow but thats not so surprising for such a major dealership. I do appreciate the staff for being so patient with me and helping me out. The wait isnt so bad either, I was able to keep myself entertained by watching the news or getting some quick studying in. If you dont want to wait there, you can be shuttled home as well. No complaints so far.

My experience with Schaumburg Honda has been incomparable. From start to finish, the workers, communication and execution was carried out better than I expected. When my SUV displayed a Transmission Issue on my dash I brought it straight in and Omar the Service Manager was very kind and took a look at it himself. After the full diagnosis process, my case was passed onto Albert who was able to break the problem down to me where I was able to comprehend what was going on with my vehicle. Although it was near closing time and they had no loaner cars available for me, they arranged a courtesy pickup from my work to Honda to pick up the loaner the next day from the porter Jose. Jose was so nice and personable and we talked the whole way. From the time I was given the loaner to picking up my fixed vehicle was 6 days and Albert stayed in communication all along the way. I always knew what was going on throughout the process and knew that whatever question I had would be answered. I truly felt the care and effort that the employees at Schaumburg Honda put into their jobs and feel content knowing I now have a reliable service team to take my Piolet to in the future.

This was a terrible experience. Our sales person Kamil lied to us from begining to the end of our buying experience. My husband and i took my 19 year old son up there to buy his first car. Kamil lied, manipulated, and scammed us on the numbers trying to trick us into getting a warranty that we turned down at least 10 times. The finance advisor Jeff also lied and decieved us on the paperwork. They will lie, scam and tell you anything at this place. After purchasing the vehicle we had to go back up there the next day to redo some of the paperwork. The manager chung said that he would talk to us when we got there but never did. Avoid this place, they are very desperate for sales.

Sure, I had my family with me but there was the obvious worry, what if I made the wrong decision? I was looking for a car that not only helped me go to work, but to set a beginning for my life. After, last night, I know I made the right choice. I was approached by Tyler Griffin, a wonderful person, who assisted me in purchasing my new Honda Vehicle. I certainly made it difficult and yet they never showed a sig of discomfort. I felt supported and satisfied. Price negotiating were frustrating on a used van, felt they weren’t being honest. Later working with finance department there were issues and they are only willing to do what is easy for them and not do extra work. They also over charged on taxes, when we corrected their amount, they still over charged which made another hassle on our end. Multiple issues, difficult to work with. They are happy to sell you a car, but not easy to work with later.We will not be buying for them again.Edit: found out I was not given the proper paperwork to register vehicle. They refused to send the proper paperwork until the Secretary of Sate contacted them, and they offered to send it over the next day. 28 days after purchase I’m still waiting for them to send the proper paperwork.Calling them I get the “run-a-round” and get directed to “full” voicemails and and get disconnected.Terrible service in my experience.

BEWARE OF PURCHASING WARRANTY - THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GHOST YOU! Purchased a New vehicle and the extended warranty in July 2020 and am still waiting for the warranty to go through (over one year later). I have spoken with several people who have assured me this will be fixed and are apologetic but nothing gets done and now I am being ghosted.Heres what happened: the paperwork filed by the dealership was wrong so the warranty was rejected (it was listed as preowned even though it was new). Ive been patient trying to get this corrected and understand people make mistakes. It took months to get someone to finally fix and resubmit the paperwork. When I checked in with the warranty company the warranty was pending waiting for payment. After checking back in with the dealership about the pending status I was told the remittance can take a few weeks. I checked in after over a month and the remittance was resubmitted (read: likely never submitted to begin with). After waiting another month I contacted the warranty company directly again to confirm it went through but the warranty was cancelled because the dealership STILL had not submitted the appropriate paperwork. Ive been incredibly patient through this process giving the dealership the benefit of the doubt but this is RIDICULOUS!After several attempts to contact various people at the dealership to correct THEIR mistake, I cannot get anyone on the phone or to respond to emails or texts. This place is a joke and not worth the trouble. I would have rather payed slightly more for my vehicle than deal with this mess.

AVOID FRED. He is pressuring, manipulative, and will shame you as much as he can. My family has bought cars here for years. Apart from terrible service(as seen in many of your reviews), FRED was absolutely horrible and was trying to rush everything. Is this how you train your people? “Even for X amount, you need to think” YES, of course I need to think. It’s a big purchase, and if we have a “deal”(refer to text). Then what’s the rush? Very dissatisfied and after reading your reviews, it appears multiple people in your sales department are like this. If you’re a consumer reading this, go to Motorwerks Honda. They are friendly, the building is MUCH cleaner and they are NOT in a rush.

So… I had done a full fluid exchange few years ago(replaced brake fluids/ transmission fluids… oil change)…Afterwards, my car ended sitting in my garage for 3 weeks (military duty call) - I came back the steering wheels were so stiff when I try to drive- I checked the fluid level it was low to none- I didn’t see any leaks- I called to bring it in to check up- they made me pay another inspection fee (I think around $75)… and found no problems of their doing- after that my car always felt stiff steering when I first take it but loosens up after giving gas- I didn’t think much of it- FAST Forward to recently- I realized they forgot to refill my fluids causing my power steering pump to break (hence stiffness in the beginning) & now leaking rock&pinna - what’s worst, they charged an extra inspection fee- THESE People are Cut Throat!! People make mistakes but how you correct is very important!! I haven’t been back this place since, not even for my oil changeThought I should share it even if its late

By far the worst place to go and get anything fixed. they always overcharge me for no apparent reason. Instead of paying WHAT THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE PAID 189.95 they charged me 300$ for a simple battery, even when i told the gentlemen i knew it only costed me 189 he still lied and said i had to pay more for the Battery. Last time i ever go here to get service done, next time ill just go to St charles location instead.

I flew in from another state to purchase vehicle. They were not able to find it at first, however another salesperson was able to locate it, I was happy with the vehicle so I purchased it. Fast forward to a month later and received the title with incorrect information on it. I called the dealership and was informed nothing they could do about it, the guy had 15 girls upstairs one must have made a mistake, he stated it’s no big deal for me to straighten it out at my DMV. I will not be purchasing from them again.

My Honda CR-V would not start, battery was ok. Think it is the starter issue. Car was towed to Schaumburg Honda.Confirmed by Service advisor that it was the starter provided and the breakdown of the cost of parts & labor was 900+.Since it was a Honda part & mechanics, the cost of repair was higher to be expected.Gave the go ahead to make the repair.After picking up the car, while driving away from the dealership, noticed the engine light was lit.As it was late in the day, informed Honda service of the issue. Brought the car back the next morning.I drove into the service garage area where the technician checked the car’s computer, error code for the knock sensor.The service advisor estimated the repair cost to replace the knock sensor to be $450 ( a discounted price)I questioned if the engine light issue was caused when work was done during the starter replacement as there was no engine light prior to the car being serviced.The service advisor, VJ, was positive the knock sensor issue was not caused by the starter repair as the location of the starter and knock sensor not close to each other. One was on top and the other the bottom.I left and called other repair shops for additional estimates.I ultimately took it to a mechanic who gave me a more reasonable estimate to replace the knock sensor. He also instantly mentioned a possible loose wire once I said the engine light came on after the starter has been replaced. He would not know for sure until he takes a look at my car. Sure enough, there was a loose wire. Once he snap it back into place, the engine light was gone. Total cost was $99. This mechanic said the knock sensor was directly behind the starter.I am disappointed that the Schaumburg Honda service advisor, VJ, did not even want to investigate the issue further, but instead gave me a $$$ quote for a part that did not need replacing.If you want a dealership to fix one issue but create another issue, Schaumburg Honda is the place for you.

I purchased a 2018 Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from Shaumburg Honda in March and have had a continually horrible experience with all aspects of their operation, including the sales, finance, and service departments and managers.First, their finance department lost my financing contract (!!) and didnt do anything about it until I spent over 10 hours (10 hours!) on the phone with them and my bank trying to figure out what was going on. After two months of no communication they apparently found it and submitted it to the bank without telling me, so I had four days notice before I needed to make my first car payment. Fortunately that wasnt a problem for me but I could see that screwing someone over.Second, they forgot to update Hondas system that Im the owner of the car and that its a CPO, so when I took it to another dealer my warranty and complementary oil changes were not honored. I was told I could still get serviced and get a refund from Schaumburg Honda after the fact, but after many additional phone calls and messages I have yet to receive a call back or refund, and I have not had confirmation that my car is even updated in Hondas system as a CPO car yet.Finally, their customer service setup is intentionally designed to block the customer from receiving service. Heres an example of one of the many dozens of calls Ive placed with them. I call, I explain my situation to the operator, they transfer me to a service rep. I explain my situation to the service rep, they transfer me to a manager. I am on hold for 5 minutes and the call goes to an answering machine. I leave a message and never get called back. I repeat the process until I actually get in contact with someone and waste hours of my personal time doing their jobs for them after spending thousands of dollars on a car at their dealer.Since having this car Ive dealt with four different Honda dealers now and three were a total breeze with great customer service and access to managers when needed, but Schaumburg Honda has been nothing but a nightmare.

The car works, but they never gave me the second key at time of purchase. 3 weeks of back and forth with their salesman Carlos, trying to get an appointment set up. Still nothing from him, and was told I would need to pay $200 to replace the key i was never given but was supposed to receive. Pricing for the vehicles are also a joke, expect to see them at least $5,000-6000 more than the advertised on their site. Ask for the invoice for the items, and if you see “other fees” at more than $1000 it’s not just the “certification” price. The person that was helping my salesman with getting us a price, tried to keep lying that a $500-700 certification cost for their vehicles was made to be $1000 because it was the average cost of certifying. Now how does $500-700 average out to $1000? Regret purchasing my vehicle from this dealership. The car is a Honda so it’s well made, and gives you plenty of options for other dealerships to deal with. If you can try going somewhere else, do it.

I purchased Honda CRV 2020 from honda Schaumburg. I receive a really bad experience from financial department. They told me they will do the first payment, and took a check from me for first payment. But they keep my check almost one month.But they didnt do the payment. I informed multiple time about this due payment date. They didnt take an action. Thats why I lost my credit score and receive a penalty from Honda service. After this issue I go to the this office, They give back to me the check but they didnt agree their mistake. They are scammers and cheaters I went to look at a used car and they told me come back tomorrow we need to complete inspection so I made a appointment for the next day at 5:30 and when I went their they said the car is sold out they sold it and gave me a fake appointment telling me the car is available. I purchased a Honda pilot at this dealership on May 29, 2021. My 30-day temporary permit expired yesterday (6/30) but I have not received the title document from this dealership. This is my only vehicle. Now I am stuck at homeI contacted them two weeks before the expiring date. Every time I was told to be patient. Last week they said the paperwork was mailed but I have not received it for a week. Today I called them again, and they said they mailed the paperwork today. I tried to contact the general manager many times. Every time I was told he was in meeting. I emailed him but never heard back.Definitely avoid this dealership for your vehicle purchase!

Be careful while doing business with Schaumburg Honda (Bob Rohrman Honda) and their FINANCE MANAGER ANTAR ALVAREZ because they care about their profits and commissions more than their customer needs and budget. I am saying this due to bad experience my family experienced when we bought our used 2014 Subaru Forester from there on Saturday 28th August, 2021. We came across used 2014 Subaru Forester that we liked and while negotiating the price, my dad made very clear to the manager who was working with us that our final price is $15,000 excluding taxes and other mandatory state fees like license plate and so on and manager checked with his boss and even they also agreed to sell the car for $15,000 excluding taxes and other mandatory state fees like license plate and so on but what we didnt knew at the time was that later when they make us sign the paper work their Finance manager (Antar Alvarez) would secretly include all the USELESS warranties and make our final bill bigger, and also mess up the paperwork since he didnt wrote proper name, and address where we belong from so we would get taxed based on our home location and not else where. It was already late about 9PM when we were doing the paperwork and Finance Manager (ANTAR ALVAREZ) was also making us hurry and not letting us read the paperwork properly before signing it to make sure everything is good and price is also what we decided on so we signed the paperwork by trusting finance manager and dealership that they wont betray their customer trust. Later when we went home, we checked paperwork and found lots of mistakes in paperwork, from name to home address to final price. The finance manager made mistakes 2 times while we were at the dealership with name and home address that we showed him but still he made mistake again since he wanted to go home and didnt care about this customer. While checking paperwork we also found lots of unwanted warranties that we didnt agree on and some warranties that dealership didnt even mention to us which made our final bill bigger than it was supposed to be. Next business day, we called the dealership and setup appointment with finance manager (Antar Alvarez) to fix the mistakes that he made. We met him and showed him all the mistakes and he said he will remove some warranties while not remove others so we went to sales manager that was doing business with us on the car and he said other warranties also can be removed, only after that finance manager signed paperworks to refund our money. Story doesnt end there, we asked for final confirmation for our final bill of our car that includes the final price so we know they fixed their mistake, but finance manager refused to give us by giving us excuse that he cant give us and only bank can give us and bank would probably send us in 1 month so we initially agreed and went home and waited one month but it didnt show up. We checked our online account from bank providing financing and we still see the wrong final price and didnt see any refund we were suppose to get so we contacted finance manager again and this time he didnt pick up our call nor attended our voicemail that my dad left him so we went to other finance manager (Nick) at the dealership and even he wasnt willing to give us refund on some warranties at first but finally he filled up paperwork again to give us refund on all the useless warranties that we didnt signed up for in first place and he mailed it to proper place to get us refund on extra money ( I still dont trust until i see final price fixed). Piece of advice for everyone, stay away from this dealership and take your business else where you wont face such drama and if you happen to do business then dont do business with FINANCE MANAGER ANTAR ALVAREZ, he will definitely scam you and DOUBLE CHECK UR PAPERWORK AND DONT LET THESE PEOPLE HURRY YOU INTO SIGNING PAPERWORK. Sorry for long review but details are important. My family will definitely NOT do business here again and we will ask our friends and family to take their business elsewhere than here.

They had a car listed for 24000 I called to make them an offer and they said oh its listed at 24,400 we could come down to 24,250. Then they changed the listing online to reflect that price lol. Buy a car from Taylor, but take it somewhere else for service. Bought a car from here earlier this year. Taylor was the salesperson and was great. Good information, follow through, etc.Brought it back in for an oil change and the experience was totally different. I showed up 15 minutes early for the appointment and was told that it would be $69 and 1 hour and 15 minutes. After 2 hours and 45 minutes in their waiting area, I get the car back and they tried to charge me over $90. They didn’t even run it through the car wash.

STAY AWAY! This place has the worst service I have ever seen. Saw an add of Facebook and thought it looked promising, Gabriela was extremely kind and helpful talking about the car I wanted to look at so I thought I’d come out the the dealership to see it. The dealership was 45 minutes from me but I thought it would be worth it. I WAS WRONG. This so called manager was clueless at managing his staff, the “salesmen” were shy and after standing around for 10 minutes one finally approached me. Every customer in there at the time complained and was met with a rude response. The front desk manager found my name funny, my salesman thought filing some papers was more important than helping me and after 37 minutes of waiting around I left. So I say again, STAY AWAY!

I have been bringing Schaumburg Honda for about 5 years to ensure that my tires were properly filled; it was a great value add to be able to bring to the dealer for this free and easy service. The other day, I went in per usual when the light goes on - and apparently the new manager of the service department had them remove the air hose to do the easy check/fill. Instead it was going to be 30 mins to ensure this was done. I get it right - there are tons of places to get air in your tires; but being able to go back to Honda for my Honda seemed like the best idea. Not anymore.

I would give this dealership a negative 10 if I could. This dealership sold a car to a young Korean friend who bought a used car in cash - $7000+ dollars for a 120,000+ Honda Civic . TITLE wasn’t available, provided many excuses as to why they don’t have the title. Since my Korean friend was only here for less than 2 yrs and had to go back home, HONDA promised to buy back the car for $2000 since “ they are aware of the TITLE issue” . They agreed to raise the offer to I think about $3,200 promising “ check will be ready” when she drops off the car. Interestingly when she got there to drop off the car, HONDA told her that they don’t have the check and they will just send the check to Korea. I had her take the car back to my house and told her I will sell the car on her behalf as long as she appoints me as POA.Many attempts were made to get the TITLE with no result so I ended up calling the Secretary of State Police. I received the title in less than 2 mos after that.Finally, the car was sold. A painful process but the pain originated from a bad business practice of Honda Dealership of Schaumburg- taking advantage of a young inexperienced female buyer from another country!
