Dont go here unless you plan on buying your glasses from them because they will not give you your prescription, even though theyre supposed to. We were told that one of the eye measurements is specific to each frame. Thats a lie, and I even confirmed that its a lie with 2 other optical offices, and both of these offices offered for us to come in and give us these measurements for free. Dont bother with these guys. There are Target Opticals everywhere.

I has gone with my mom to her eye exam and was pleasantly surprised at how great the staff was and Dr Troyka. So i decided to make appts for me and my husband. Cant say good enough things about Dr.Troyka he really helped mu husband with getting him a better prescription for his glasses than the last place we went too. His staff Desi with us and Elizabeth with my mom went above and beyond to help us find a great pair of glasses. Will recommend to my family and friends.
Love Dr. Troyka and the staff at this Target Optical location (West Schaumburg). Had some “meh” experiences with eye doctors at other department store’s optical so was pleased to learn Target takes our insurance. Roo helped both my husband and I select frames and lens plans. She was super helpful, patient and professional. We never felt rushed and she explained every feature well. Loved the new tool they have for digital precision for progressive lenses too. Highly recommend!

I thought the service was excellent!They offer the latest technology in making prescription lenses. Ill mention one, the prescription is made to the outside of the lens, thereby eliminating any distortion.
Fast food style eye check up.....Next! Rude customer service, when inquiring before appointment. After eye exam was offered the most expensive glasses ever. After that I went to Cosco and paid 50% less than they offered and I got two glasses for the price of one ( regular prescription and reading).

Came in because my glasses never fit right and the place I got them adjusted them multiple times but it really just made it worse. One visit with Jasmine and not only do my glasses fit PERFECT, but that was honestly the single most personable customer service experience Ive ever had! She was sooo sweet and explained everything she was doing to fix my glasses, and it worked! I will definitely be bringing my whole family here, I can tell she gives quality care to her customers even if its just an adjustment.
Dont listen to the old reviews! Best experience i have had at an eye doctor! Went in to get new glasses after going somewhere else to get an eye exam and the previous place i went was way too expensive. Prices here were good so i ordered new frames and lenses, they said it would be 2-3 weeks but they came in within a week! After wearing a couple days, the new glasses were way too tight so i went back in, had them adjusted and ordered different frames since they had been hurting so bad.The next day i realized how good my glasses fit after i adjusted them and called them to cancel my other frames i just ordered. They had me make an appointment which is understandable now since they have to limit the people in the store, so i went in and paid the difference. I dealt with multiple people during the whole process (forgot to look at names) and everyone was very professional and patient with me not being able to make up my mind. I would definitely recommend this place and advise you to go here first and save money and the trouble of going anywhere else!
Working with Jasmine at Target Optical made my day I have NEVER had such customer service looking for glasses as I had with here she took the time to help find frames that were flattering to me we need more wonderful people just like her in the world of retail such and sweet and caring young lady who took time out of her busy day to make my experience a great one with a positive attitude going beyond just the average, I will be back and will highly suggest others to go there and Dr Troyka is great as well very attentive and suggest what is exactly needed for another great experience in getting my eyeglasses. I will give them the highest rating all the time!
The eye doctor was great - very thorough.The office staff is unresponsive. I’ve left two messages and called at least five times without an answer or returned phone call.
BUYER BEWARE!! I have been going to Target Optical for years, just not this Schaumburg, IL location, and i have never encountered the problems that I did here. Long story short, I was over billed,.They claim they billed according to my insurance and would not listen to my concerns about being over billed for both my eye exam and glasses.I contacted my insurance explained the situation they advised, per the claim, what I should have been billed and it was in fact less than what I paid..They (Insurance Co) contacted the store and asked for breakdown of where the extra charge was coming from. Jasmine, store manager blamed insurance for billing & basically could not or would not explain how or why I was over billed.Bottom line I will not be going to this location any longer and probably going somewhere else all together. It really is a shame because I have been a long time Target Optical customer so this is disappointing!
Very bad customer service, had to wait for 45mins without assistance. When my assistant called to set the appointment, they had said everything would be ready. Being ready? Huh !!! It took them at least 45mins to pull up my information and when they did, it was all over the place. Lacked a crisp, succinct, professional behavior. They need training on customer handling, for sure. I was so frustrated that I left without even placing an order. What an experience !!!Wouldnt go back ever and would strongly recommend all my friends in the Barrington/Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates area to avoid this place. Its a nightmare. I would have rated it as -5 (negative 5) had there been such an option.

Let me start this review by saying Desislava is AMAZING and VERY HELPFUL...The best person in the office to work with. This location also has COVID-19 precautions in place to limit the # of patients allowed inside at once (that I did appreciate).This location should FIRE Jasmine...Im sure im not the 1st customer who has complained regarding her LACK of SERVICE and inability to be helpful. She spoke in a condescending tone and over talks patients (without trying to understand and support). She called me to set up a training appointment for my sons new contact lenses and mentioned that he would need to practice touching his eyeball at home ....on his own..and mentioned that she would not have enough time at the appointment to properly show him how insert and remove them due to this location trying to see as many customers as possible and get them out as fast as possible. WHAT IS THE POINT OF SETTING UP A TRAINING APPOINTMENT AND HAVING US COME INTO THE OFFICE, IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO THOROUGHLY TRAIN US?? THAT SHOCKED ME!!As a healthcare professional...I reminded her that SAFETY should be the #1 priority for all patients in addition to proper instructions.she had AN ATTITUDE after that and was resistant to schedule my appointment. She is extremely RUDE and not personable at all. While scheduling my training appointment she seemed very disinterested in her job and was acting entitled.Fast forward to appointment date - When i arrive to the appointment, I was advised that she had STEPPED OUT FOR AN INTERVIEW. After waiting 15 minutes, I advised the staff that i was on my lunch break and it was unprofessional for her not to be there or advise to re schedule. I walked out without purchasing anything (not even the contact lenses).Who called me 30 minutes after my appointment time and asked if I was still around in the store and available to come back???....JASMINE LOL...she laughed over the phone as if it wasnt a big deal....then i told her to look for this review shortly.Hope the TRUE PROFESSIONALS in that office read this note and feel free to contact me...Im sure you are losing $$ due to Jasmines behavior. Good luck with that.
Very bad expirence in this Target Optical. very rude staff. and they are not giving appoinment for just pick up the glass. you have to wait for 1 or 2 days. i said just i have to pick up my daughter glasses. it will not take more then 1 minute. but still this people give me an appoinemnt for next day evening. its really not good. they dont understand customer respect and urgency.

My Optometrist moved offices to this location. Im not exactly sure what changed in the year where my insurance was accepted but it suddenly wasnt. I drove an hour, had confirmed my appointment twice online, and even a day before my actual appointment. I arrive, none of my paperwork was transferred over to this location. And if it were it would have been noted what insurance I had. It would have also been a lot better to tell me that my insurance wasnt accepted here the day before, it would have saved me an hour long car ride. Its pretty disappointing seeing that Dr. Troyka was my Optometrist, my sisters, for many years. Ill do business elsewhere.
I bought the highest cost/quality lenses for my son here. Within a few months, the coating that I paid extra for had wiped off in the center due to his long eyelashes, making the lenses blurry. I am now told that this coating is very sensitive and I will have to pay to replace them, but why would I continue to buy glasses where they are so cheaply made that eyelashes can ruin them?
Most odd doctor experience I have ever had, not just eye doctor experience. Went in for my first appointment on a Saturday morning. The front desk people were extremely nice and courteous and helpful. Doctor saw me right away after I filled out the necessary documentation. I have been wearing prescription glasses for over half my life and in my experience, an eye exam typically lasts 15-20 minutes. Doctor literally saw me for less than 5 minutes. At first, I was just kind of amazed on how quickly he was able to see me and administrate my exam. I was suspicious if he couldve accurately examined me in the time he did. He spent more time taking notes than actually looking at my eyes. I just needed a prescription because I order my glasses online. When I get home to place an order for new glasses, put in my prescription on the website and the website tells me that one of the values on my prescription isnt accurate. The OS Axis value can only go up to 180...and the Doctor wrote down 350 for mine. Im assuming because he was in such a rush to get me in and out, he messed up and wrote down something inaccurate. Lets assume he was actually writing down a more serious issue and messed up like he did. That would lead to a pretty hefty malpractice suit, Im guessing. Just be more careful next time, Doctor. Maybe take the effort and time to double check your work before sending off patients of yours with incorrect information.

I have been a customer for a long time. My kids get there glasses there but the pass two years the service has been terrible. Today I had appointments for two of my kids and we got there 15 minutes before the appointment that was at 11am. I also have my newborn with me. The front desk girl was busy with a customer but gave me the paperwork to fill out. I was done with the paperwork and gave them back. More people walked in and at 11 o’clock the doctor came out and started taking the next person in line. This lady, her husband and newborn just had walk in. The place is full of people. The doctor was told that I was next and the doctor decided it didn’t matter. She continued and ignored the fact that we were waiting. I hate to say this because this was based on race. I am Hispanic and the lady taken before us was white just like the doctor. I never have expected this before and it was hurtful. I called target customer service to complain and all I got was sorry for the inconvenience. I will never go or shop at Target.

They cancelled my appt the day of and told me next available is in 8 days! Joke! You get what you pay for go somewhere with more of a selection and better customer service.
Very very disappointed with the service. Even after 3 - 4 weeks of waiting they couldn’t provide me prescription glasses.They initially promised to give within 10 days but they were kept on changing the date saying their lab changed delivery date. My daughter had broken her glasses and she didn’t have a back up pair so it was very very urgent for us. And even after 3 weeks they said they can’t guarantee when it will arrive. After 3 weeks of waiting I went to another optical shop and got the glasses in 4 days.Please don’t waste your time going to this location. Please go only if you can wait an entire year. Hopefully you will get. I would give a zero star if I could.
Experience with Doctor was good but very bad front desk experience. They said they have all the insurance information before the eye exam but after completion of exam they said I dont have contact lense coverage although my insurance person confirmed that I have full coverage but the front desk person were rude and said i would have to pay from my pocket as they dont see that coverage in their system. They were totally not helpful in resolving the problem. Waste of time and money.
Worst experience ever! Complete waste of my time. I specifically called early in the day to verify that my insurance would be accepted. After dealing with Christy over the phone, she verified that my insurance in fact would be accepted. I scheduled my appointment only to be blindsided once I arrived at this location and met by the optometrist to be informed that they do not accept my insurance for the exam but only for the actual eyeware. Horrible customer service and lack of professionalism. Dont waste your time going here.
