For the many years that my wife Dorothy and I have been a patients of Carlin Vision, we have yet able to identify an area that would warrant any complaints. It is this reason that we both agree, and gave the highest, and five stars, which is indicative of our attitude. Frankly, when we first learned of the retirement of our first doctor, we wondered if our new assigned doctor will be the same kind of human, and good enough is is just as our previous doctor. Ive been going to Dr. Carlin since I was young and now my kids go there too. Dr. Carlin did my lasik 12 years ago and my vision is still 20/20. I cant say enough great things about them!

Dr. Bennett-Sims seemed to rush me through my appointment although I saw her 35 mins after my appt time. She did not explain how my eyelid could’ve become infected but just told me what it was, what medicine she was prescribing and how to apply it. I asked for a dr’s note and she would not give me one because she said I was not contagious, although I was not feeling well. I felt like I was on my own which felt unfair to me. I always like seeing Dr. Carlin himself. He is always prompt and very thorough.

Dr. Willman and the staff are all fantastic and professional. Dr. Willman took time to answer all my questions. I would definitely recommend Carlin Vision to anyone wanting the Best in eye Care.

This was my first visit to Carlin Vision and I was extremely impressed with the practice. I saw Dr. Thornhill and immediately felt that I had found the right physician based on his knowledge as well as his inviting personality. I would highly recommend Dr. Thornhill as well as Carlin Vision.

The examination and pre testing were timely and professional as usual. Where I had a problem was. In the boutique where I needed to order new lenses. I waited and very long time, half an hour, and still was not waited on and had to leave coming back another day. There is not enough staff there to wait on customers timely. Some staff had tasks to do in the backroom and werent able to help with waiting on customers. I realize that each customer requires more extensive time by the sales people but something needs to be done to speed up the process. I really dont know when is a good time there to be waited on. More staff dedicated only to waiting on customers maybe.

They were highly professional, knowledgeable, and kind, too. My husband had LASIK done there 15 years ago, and it has been such a blessing to him. Highly recommend.

Everyone was so accommodating and pleasant. From the check in to check out. The young lady that brought me back (sorry I didnt remember her name) did an awesome job and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Sims was so patient and answered my questions with confidence and concern. Scott did a great job helping me pick out the perfect pair of glasses. The staff and doctors are all wonderful. Two issues, however: 1. Wait times for both the doctor and the option were way too long: over ½ hour. 2. I had to fill out paperwork onsite because it had been a while since your last visit (it was less than 3 years); that should have been flagged when my appointment was scheduled and they should have provided a link to online forms ahead of time.

Always had a great experience over the years and enjoyed a professional atmosphere and great office personnel.This last time I had the most unprofessional behavior from Shelly at the check out.I have left very favorable reviews in the past that have had over 1000 views. Unsure if I or my family will visit this office again.

It is completely disappointing to write this review, but I have been a longtime patient for a little over a decade. My family and myself have always been pleased with the doctors, and their care always felt sincere. My family members have had several surgeries in the past, and have always trusted them. I even recommended my coworkers to them, as we have always had a good experience with a “home town touch”.As a former glasses and contact wearer, I was told that I was the perfect lasik candidate and had lasik performed less than two years ago because I trusted their technology and judgement. They were the family doctor and I trusted them to not be like other places that prioritized my money over my health. My vision started off great, but I soon started having issues with my eye and made appointments with Richard Carlin, who performed my surgery. I was not taken seriously, and each and every time he told my vision was perfect, that my surgery was a success, and that there was no issues at all. They even performed several extensive tests on me, and Dr. Carlin recommended that I take ibuprofen and suggested that I have other non-eye health related issues, and emphasized that my eyes were completely fine.I saw another Ophthalmologist for a second opinion, and what was said by Dr. Carlin was not true at all. It was immediately noted that there was corneal ectasia and cornea irregularity in my eye immediately caused by the surgery. This will require another procedure that will not cure the corneal irregularity, but slow down the progression. I will live with this forever. It was noted that I was not a qualified patient based on my age and pre-op testing, and it’s extremely disappointing and mentally taxing that I have found this out after the procedure was done and my money was taken. It is extremely frustrating that my eye health was not prioritized and I was not told the truth prior surgery. The most heartbreaking thing is that I completely entrusted my eyes with Dr. Carlin and the facility, and he continued to tell me that everything was “okay”when I had a complication that occurred. The lack of empathy and care was not there. My eyes are ruined forever, and I will have to do more surgery to try to save them.I would not recommend going here for lasik surgery, avoid it completely if you can. But if you still proceed, I would request that you get a second opinion and look seriously at the longterm complications. The amount of marketing that they use reduces this surgery into something simple, and it is disturbing. There are many complications and even long term complications that they do not discuss with you during your pre-op, and the most time spent was in regards to finances. My money was prioritized here more than my eye health, and I am stuck with the complications. They were not truthful enough to tell me that I have complications.

Ive been to a lot of different specialists in the past 10 years due to a medical condition, and Carlin Vision has the best organized place Ive ever experienced. My 1st visit with David Carlin gave me confidence even after seeing cataracts forming, but gave me more options. 1st glasses and see how it goes, if I need further help There are more choices without eye surgery. I like to read and he made me feel hopeful. Ill be able to see what I read more clearly. There were a lot of people but I didnt worry about social distance except when I got to the last step, finding glasses from a large variety to choose from. I didnt get my glasses yet but the young lady said I could come back anytime and gave me the best time to come. Its still difficult for all of us adjusting to the importance of social distance, but Im sure well get there. The entire staff are incredible

Yesterday I went for my annual eye exam with Dr David Carlin. I was very impressed how they are following very good social distancing in their office as well as good hygiene to protect their patients. I got in and out of the office quickly but still had a thorough exam with plenty of time to ask questions. I have been going to this office for years and was impressed at their protocol during these times. I would highly recommend them, friendly and helpful.

Dr David Carlin is very thorough when it comes to my eye care. He addresses any questions/concerns that I have in a patient manner. In addition, all the people that assist me from check in to check out are all courteous and kind.

What a great experience! Surprisingly, there was no normal doctor’s office wait. I have been wearing readers for several years and wanted to check to see if there was a better option. I have been struggling with having to wear readers most of the day for computer work and reading. My tennis game(night) is off after wearing readers all day. Dr. DeRosa was very thorough in his explanation of my options. All around a great experience😊

Seen Doc DeRosa the first time on Friday he knew right away what was wrong with my eye he told me to come bk on Monday was in and out in record time. Went bk today and was in and quickly. Would recommend this practice. The office staff was friendly and helpful as well.

Our family has been going here for 3 years, and its always a great experience with Dr. Thornhill & his staff. Theyre great with my 10 year old daughter, explaining whats next, so she feels comfortable during the exam. In our most recent visit, my daughter and I both finished our exams and selected eyeglasses in 1.5 hours (thats quick for us).

The process was clean and safe. Dr. Derosa is an awesome eye doctor with a lot of knowledge. The exam was detailed and the workers were friendly and helpful, especially Hallie Scott!

I am so grateful to Dr. Bennett-Sims for meeting me at the office on a Sunday to address my eye emergency. She helped me so that I could work the next day. Thank you!

Great staff and efficient. I visited the office to determine if I was a good candidate for lasik. Unfortunately, my vision with contacts is the best scenario for me. However, the doctor was open and honest and set realistic expectations for me to make the best decision. Great experience despite the outcome.

My wife had blepharoplasty at Carlinvision and she was not satisfied with the result on the left eye and the doctor told her that it will improve with time and will see her during the one year follow up, unfortunately COVID hit and the one year follow up was delayed and when we went to see him finally after 18 months they told us we have to pay for the follow up and it is not included in the package because it was more than one year. We tried to explain to them but never listen.I would not recommend this place to anyone. Just making money with poor results.

This practice is wonderful. I got in last minute, everyone was extremely kind, thorough, great at answering my questions, very reassuring, and just all out fantastic. They got me started on getting a diagnosis for a neurological condition and bent over backwards to help me. Ill gladly recommend them to everyone and Ill be going back.

Dr. Thronhill is always so great with my 8 year old. Sometimes my son cant keep his eyes still when theyre doing the exams, but Dr. Thronhill always has the patience and knows what to do. I cant remember the nurse that started the process with my son yesterday but she was the BEST! I love this office!

Dr. Bennett-Sims was awesome! I suffer from dry eyes and finally found her after three physicians attempted to help me. The office was very clean, social distancing was taking place, and everyone wore masks. I felt very safe and comfortable. I would definitely recommend CarlinVision!!

Always professional, timely and attentive. You will not sit longer than a minute before a team member acknowledge if your being helped. The frames are not limited and I loved the saftey measures taken handling frames. My prescription is always correct I never had to bring them back.

Great experience with Dr.Carlin. Impressed with this clinic’s efficient, expert experience. I was in and out in 45 minutes. I have dry eye and wear contacts and glasses. All my needs were met in one visit which was not my experience with other Eye centers.I won’t stray again.

My first visit with Dr Bennett-Sims was great! CarlinVision made me feel at ease. The staff was very efficient and friendly.

My appointment recently left much to be desired. I had an 11oclock with the doctor due to some issues with my prescription glasses. After several minutes, I was called to the back. During the exam the tech was advised by someone(I overheard) to send me to the optical boutique. Needless to say, nothing was accomplished since a new prescription requires the doctor. I was then instructed to wait in the waiting area, again. An hour and a half into my initial appointment here I am waiting to start the process all over again & through no fault of my own, I was even 15 minutes early. If the attendee didn’t want to address the prescription(I’m assuming that is who told the tech to redirect me to to optical boutique) someone could have just said that & spared me several hours wasted on my ONE off day in the week. I watched a dozen people come & go before I decided to just leave. Surely prescription issues aren’t unheard of. Very disappointed at the turn of events for something rather simple.

Dr Richard is very very good! He is very knowledgeable and up to date on all of your vision!He gets in and gets to the nuts and bolts about your vision without unnecessary delays. I was in and out in one hour and I bought glasses! The Staff is super friendly and helpful!

Dr De Rosa and his staff are excellent. I was totally impressed with each staff member. They created a very caring and professional atmosphere. I liked the way Dr DeRosa interacted with his staff. He was also very thorough with my exam and spent time explaining and answering my concerns.

I have been going to CarlinVision for 20 years, since I was a young child.Today I experienced the worst service from the contact department, specifically Brandy. She spoke to me in the most unprofessional and condescending tone.As an adult and long time patient of this office, I have never been given such unprofessional service. I am a professional who understand protocols and procedures, but I also truly believe a little respect goes a long way. Today I will be finding a new doctor, and it truly saddens me.

For the surgery department, the Doctors and 99% of the nurse in the main building 5 star service. As for the check out department the lady I the middle the worst, she always end our visit with such disrespect and the patient care woman AMY that you can make complaints to at first she seem so nice and actually was helping us to have a great experience but after telling her more than once she seem to have a problem ( if she has a problem with my complaints imagine how we feel having to continuously go through it) but I figured I’m done and will just skip that process morning forward. I saw her and let her know her my taking care of it makes that woman feel like she can continue being disrespectful and not service us and she was so dismissive but I bet she would not be dismissive if it was her kind. I see how they treat their inundated vs others. I definitely don’t want to continue giving my hard earn money here. AMY thought best to run to the Doctor who has been great with my mom and gossip instead of take care of the actual issue. AMY definitely not here for people of color to get great customer service otherwise gossiping for the Doctor to come back to us with the assumption that’s we had a problem with her and the nurses. We have concerns with one woman at the checkout section. The way Amy PP handled my concerns ruined everything.

Ive been a patient since 2007. As Ive aged and experienced a TBI Dr. Thornhill has done a great job adjusting his exam style to meet my new needs. The staff is always pleasant and polite. EXCELLENT COVID-19 practices.

Came in to ask some questions like warranty, styles prices and look at glasses for my kids, the guy that we talked to was not interested as soon as we mentioned insurance and then just gave us a sample box full of glasses walked away so then we walked out.

Dr Richard Carlin took special care explaining the tests and results to us. He listened to our questions and responded in language we could understand. As close to Perfect as they can get. Exceptional skills and talent combined with super nice and efficient people... they have state of the are equipment... they have specialists in every area of eye care... and they serve cookies and coffee for free.

I was referred to Carlin because of an emergency by my doctor. The group I have used for years could not get me in for 3 days despite the explanation that what was happening with my eye was very serious and that I needed to be seen immediately.The people at Carlin had me come right away and I had no wait. The staff was extremely helpful and eased my nerves. The technician was young but the way she conducted herself made it seem she had been doing her job for many, many years. I was extremely impressed with Daisy and the way in which she worked explaining all of tests and procedures.Dr. Modi was wonderful! I ended up needing an injection in my eye and she and her staff made it a pleasant experience when I expected far worse.I am very appreciative to this practice and all the staff that took care of me. I highly recommend this group!
