They have the gear, obviously, and they get it to you quick. But they take service to the next level. After I booked my rental, my flight got delayed so I called to see if I could from four days to three and they said no problem! I really liked the ski and boots I had, so when I saw there might be great snow the day after my rental was supposed to end, they said go ahead and hang on to your skis and boots; if you use them tomorrow, pay for tomorrow. If not, just bring them back and we wont charge you the extra day. Wait, one more thing. I bought a Camelbak and the tube kinked. They replaced it for me in Boulder even though I didnt have the receipt. Basically, they are the type of totally chill people you kind of hope live in ski towns, and they know their stuff backwards and forwards. They have my business for life!

Came in with my family like I have in the past, wanted to purchase new skis, meet at front door by rude person, did not like the type of mask I was wearing and ordered me to double up with another mask.... sorry took my wife, kids and my business else where.

Alex Jeffries and his staff at the Christy Sports were the best folks I have dealt with at any ski rental place I ever visited in past 10 yrs from France to US. The Ptarmigan Inn location and the ski storage is like a personal valet service, very convenient too. The ski in level is one above the store and as soon as you are either ready to get on the slopes are back to store, they are up in a jiffy as soon as you are there !! I dont know how they manage, going up and down the stairs, but the service is fast, efficient and above par, kudos !!!

Location unparalleled since we were staying at the Ptarmigan Inn. Equipment was fantastic -- I had a great time skiing. And, for a wonder, I could get my foot in and out of the boots without cramping for a change! Really appreciated that the crew was flexible for our reservation -- we rented one childs skis, got her off to her 10am lesson, and then came back to collect the rest of our skis. (It was a pretty late morning for them before they could take their break.)

Fast, Professional, and Knowledgeable - Alex, Richard, Matt, Koby, and Elliot helped me to use the proper wide skis for the Powder I encountered.The skis worked perfectly and I had a fantastic powder day due them.This crew was also very friendly and easy to talk to.Thank You for contributing to a great vacation.

This is our 5th trip to Steamboat... using this shop. With the family of 5... they make it so easy that we havent wanted to try any other shop! Always helpful & friendly. They are a huge part of why we keep coming back to Steamboat, and the Ptarmigan Inn.

Alex and his staff are super friendly and provide excellent customer service. We stay at the Ptarmigan every year and are completely satisfied each time. The staff at the Ptarmigan Inn are far better than any Christy Sports locations I have ever used. Enough said!

The folks at this location were knowledgeable about snowboard options and were flexible with me on what I was looking for. I upgraded my rental on my third day and they let me do that for free. Very friendly overall!
