Rita SAVED THE DAY! I was on the road traveling from NC to PA with a stop in Reston, VA. I realized on Saturday night, right before going to bed, that I had left my contact lenses AND glasses at home, and had nothing to help me see. I was a wreck. I searched and searched for a place to order contacts to have shipped overnight to reach me on Monday. No luck.I then searched for glasses in an hour and found Eyeglasses Express. (fortunately I leave my prescriptions in the glove box in my car). I called and asked if I could get glasses quickly and spoke with Rita. Rita explained that she has after hours emergency service (Sunday!) for a minimal charge, but it is credited back if you make a purchase. AND, if she already has an appointment the fee is waived. My daughter’s glasses broke over the weekend which we had previously purchase in July 2020 with Eyeglasses Express. Very helpful and friendly service. Communication 24/7 (and can open the office anytime for an extra fee). Just had to get a screw replaced in my prescription sunglasses. Hours are generally 10:30am to 6pm. Located in the rear set of stores at the back of the strip mall. Google maps currently seems to have a problem navigating to the store so keep an eye out.

Sooo my son decides to break my Glasses on the day of his birthday party so I’m looking and searching for an optometrist that is open nothing is open on Sunday! I go online and I find that this place is open 24/7!!! The optometrist Rita who helped me out was great very friendly and knowledgeable . Friendly, detail oriented and incredibly responsive-- called at 5:00pm to ask for assistance as my eyeglasses were damaged by someone sitting on them. Rita told me to come in and shed help me before close for the day. Rita was very kind in person and explained my options and helped me to make the best choice for my care. Rita looked at my damaged frames, give me my options, helped me select a new frame & switched out my lenses to a new frame within 30 minutes of my arrival. Ive never had such fast customer service. Excellent service!! A true life saver! My son broke his glasses a few days before Christmas and no one was available for an eye exam or repair/ new glasses. Every other place said at least 2 weeks. Called eyeglass express at 10pm Christmas Eve and Rita said come by tomorrow at 1:30. On Christmas Day! AMAZING. I am - by my own admission - a very difficult customer to please. But, Rita and Al are the best. I had a wonderful experience with the optometrist. She was awesome. I had to come in for an emergency because I took my contacts out and then tried to put my old glasses on and couldn’t see. At first I was going to come at 12am then fell asleep putting my son to sleep. I ended up there at 8am and she was still available to work with me. Been meaning to post this for a while, but went here about a month ago on a little vacation prep emergency: my glasses were broken and I was traveling overseas a few days later. My original glasses sadly ended up being beyond repair, but they helped me choose reasonably priced frames and using my old lenses, I was ready for my trip about 5 minutes later along with a guarantee for $25 replacement in the case that the quality frames were somehow damaged. Peter and Rita were delightfully sincere and helpful— wonderful service! I left feeling ready for my trip and good that I was able to support a local family business in the process (and one that works to donate glasses to those in need too)! Before I left they even gave me a restaurant recommendation, but I would definitely recommend them!

Great service! Rita and her assistant totally took care of my broken eye glass frames on a late Saturday afternoon. For some reason, I did not realize there was an eye glass repair store right here in Vienna. Its in the same shopping plaza as The Italian Store (which I go to all the time). Anyhow, Rita quickly fixed my frames and even made an extra tweak to the nose pads (so that they fit more comfortably); and charged me a reasonably priced amount, all with a 10% discount. Will start coming to this store for all of my eye glasses, contacts, frames, and even sunglasses needs! :-)

A fantastic experience to have. Called ahead of time to know what they have on sight. When I got there they were very helpful in finding the right pair that fit me. Around 20 minutes later I was happy to walk out of their with a pair to call mine. Would happily shop with them again.

This business is the best! Rita is amazing! She was able to take an existing pair of frames I loved and update them with my new prescription. She also was able to repair glasses that I stepped on and both lenses popped out but the frames were still intact. Its open 24hrs by appointment...which means i literally called about 2 hours ahead on a sunday, just to see if they were really open, and they were, so we set a time for the same day. I cannot say enough about Eyeglass Express. Not only as a business, but as honestly caring people. Over the past few years, my eyesight had deteriorated terribly, and I decided to call Eyeglass Express. I am mainly homebound and have great difficulty getting around (plus I had been going nuts with my eyesight since the computer and reading are my “life”). But the office was near me and I couldn’t miss a chance that states they are available 24/7. I met with Rita and within minutes I was being treated as though I was part of her immediate family. She proceeded to thoroughly examine my eyes and I was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. Rita immediately recommended and arranged an appointment with an excellent eye surgeon. Long story short, I had surgery on both eyes, and I have been able to see distances (and not trip over things) as if I never had anything wrong since I was young. The other day I returned to Eyeglass Express to have my eyes re-examined for reading glasses. I was treated as though I had not been gone for 4 months. And once again, Rita examined my eyes. Not only did she perform a completely professional examination, but, on the same day, she filled my new prescription, made my glasses – and are you ready for this? – she came later in the day to my home and delivered my new glasses! She had worked around me for the appointment, she found me an excellent eye surgeon, she did not try to sell me glasses that would do nothing for the cataracts and she worked with me with cost as I am on a fixed income. Again, I can’t say enough about my experience with Eyeglass Express and especially Rita. I am not only satisfied, but I feel blessed that I met this wonderful lady.

I felt really confident with the prescription because Rita not only used the electronic this one or that one machine, she double checked by having me try actual lenses and their modifications. Then she helped me choose a frame where the lenses sat at the proper angle to my face.

RIta is one of those professionals that has the magic touch in their field. My eyesight needs are complex, with the aftermath of a laser keratotomy surgery (no one does those anymore) leaving my astigmatism intact as well as blurred vision at night and now needing reading glasses.Ive tried numerous opticians and optometrists over the past decade; and while they were good at normal cases, none could help get the prescription right enough to make my corrected lenses comfortable enough to use without headaches -- until Rita. I needed new eyeglasses in a rush before going on vacation, and none of the chains could accommodate my needs. However, I was lucky to discover Eyeglasses Express and Rita in particular. She was not only very friendly and helpful, but miraculously got eyeglasses with progressive lens having glare resistance, and transitions in only three days. Furthermore, she provided me with temporary lens in an older frame of mine to enable me to function until the new ones arrived, all at a price that was competitive with the chains.
