I came in last minute for 2 tires and I was able to get them that day. The team didnt hesitate to go get them at another location and take care of me! Also, glad that they are open on Saturday, as I was able to get my alignment done then too. Very welcoming, helpful and quick! Prices were good too!
Traveling from Maryland to Tennessee late on a Friday afternoon I had a tire failure and, after a quick Google search, found Heishmans Blue Ridge Tire. Kenny was extremely helpful not only in selection of a new set of tires but in getting me serviced and back on the road in very short order. What I thought could have been a 4 hour delay turned out to be less than 2. He even sent in the mail in rebate for me and had it sent to my home in Maryland!Grand slam, Blue Ridge Tire!!!!
Called looking for a used tire to get me by for my business vehicle till I had time to change all 4. Spoke with a guy named “Kenny” who came off as rude and disrespectful. Felt the need to describe how most clients aren’t that smart to know tire sizes. Anyways, tried to sell me a new tire and while I was thinking about just getting two new, a client came into their store and he was really quick to rudely say, “Are you gonna buy this tire or not! I have a client that just walked in!” Pretty much hung the phone up on me. I have heard nothing but unprofessional business ethics from multiple other small businesses I do work for. I won’t ever have anything to do with this place even if they sold tires for $20 a piece.
Kenny was super nice, even though inspection failed they were thorough on pointing out where the issues were. Waiting area is with the tires and has been around a long time.
Was travelling from NY and after a lot of driving on gravel roads, got a pretty big rock stuck in one of the tires. 4 big name shops around the university turned me down and did not want to patch up or sell me new tires because they werent standard tires. Kenny had me back on the road within couple of hours. A+ guy and A+ crew. Great prices compared to what I usually pay. This shop honestly saved the day and the 2000 mile roadtrip.
While visiting family, my car tire decided to have a sharp encounter with a screw. Blue Ridge Tire was able to readily fix my tire, even though they were quite booked for the day. Everyone I encountered was quite professional also. Thank you for saving the day!
Did an amazing job on my car for a great price (less then half of the dealership price) and went straight to work when I brought it in. Kenny is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Will definitely be taking my car here for all of my auto needs.
I’m very happy with the work. Came in for a new set of tires mounted and balanced with a wheel alignment. Car drives smooth. Will be back
This place will fail you on a inspection just to get extra money out of you! I highly recommend DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! I went up the street 2miles to Adams tires and got my tires for way Cheaper and my inspection. :)
Really saved our recent trip. They had a used tire for our trailer that helped us get down the road. The price was very fair and the service was excellent.
Found special lug nuts at great rate-plus good Michelin tires
Pathetic service! Let me start off by saying there are Tire and Auto centers in town that DO care about service and quality. Blue Ridge Tire and Auto does not.Originally my girlfriend and I dropped her car off for a State Inspection. One day previous to this experience with Blue Ridge Auto, we had the vehicle serviced and restored by another company (Precision Tune Auto Care). We paid some money, but it was timely, professional and the car was in perfect condition. The headlights were restored, we replaced a tire and most importantly we had the front aligned. We were very very pleased. In an effort to get the car inspected in time we scheduled our inspection at Blue Ridge the next day.Our appointment was at 3pm, (Friday) and we arrived a little early. Kenny Heishman regrettably informed us that it would not be a long wait. We proceeded to wait over an hour for a scheduled state inspection. Disappointing but the least of our concerns. We were also very unhappy that no one wore a mask. We were the only people, even among staff and Kenny. Foolish decision.Honestly the moment we pulled out of the driveway I felt the steering wheel tilt right hard when driving straight. In hindsight, maybe I should have turned around and made a stink right there. However I am young and was inexperienced; I’ve never had a state inspection mess a car up. So my girlfriend and I decided to wait a day or two, and see how it drives. Maybe we were imagining it!We were not. We waited for our next day off (not even a week later) and gave Kenny a call to see what to do. We called just to inform and ask what the next step should be, seeing how much money we had already put into fixing the car, we didn’t want to waste more on the problems we already had fixed. Kenny was not very comprehensive. We called not to make accusations, be rude, or gain anything. We have the proof we need to show that Blue Ridge did this. Yet they did not meet us with dignity or respect. Kenny disregarded our direct information, claimed to “not know much about cars”, and when prompted to remember our experience he said he had no idea who we were. I’m beyond frustrated at this point. Kenny began to threaten to hang up on me, and was dismissing anything I said. After pointing out that Kenny had no right to speak to a paying customer this way, he hung up on me. DISGUSTING. A letter to the Better Business Bureau serving Central Virginia is being written. After speaking with Kenny personally, we called Precision Tune Auto and they had us come right over. They took a look for FREE, was very understanding of our situation and took care of us right away. The technician there told us “it was so bad we couldn’t even document it”. They confirmed our suspicions and took care of a problem that wasn’t even theirs. Nevertheless I have all the documentation I need to prove my point. I’m disappointed with Blue Ridge Auto however I’m glad we only spend $20 there. Never again
Great customer service, vehicle services through the roof, a bit pricey but when its terrifically the Best service, you pay pricey.
Great place. Great service. Saved a considerable amount of money without sacrificing serviceWould highly recommend!!!!
I always try to give my business to local businesses but my experience today will keep me from ever returning to Blue Ridge Tire. When I arrived for an inspection of my car, no-one was wearing a mask. So I told them I would not be staying for my appointment. A call from the owner turned into a lecture about how everyone doesnt share the same beliefs as me. Thanks for that enlightening fact!
Called in with a question, spoke with Kenny. He was extremely helpful, and very professional. I really appreciate his time. 10/10 great experience.
Imagine a business actually arguing with customers on their google reviews instead of trying to better themselves. I’ve heard this place is bad and treats people differently and unfair. Wouldn’t recommend. They are probably gonna tell me how wrong I am but hearing how someone I know was treated I had to write this. 👎
Have been myself and have friends that I have referred to Blue Ridge Tire for years, but I lost all respect for this business this evening. Im not sure if management has changed or what has happened, but I have never been addressed so rudely on the phone by Kenny. Before I could even finish simply asking a question Kenny accused me of yelling and clearly wanted to dismiss me rather than help me. He never even told me if he had the tire size I needed. The gentleman that initially answered the phone was pleasant and was trying to assist me, but once Kenny took the call it was all downhill. I drove across town and had my new tires installed within 30 minutes. Needless to say I will not return to Blue Ridge Tire nor recommend to friends in the future. Sorry to see a local business go downhill like it has.
Went once to get tires put on to pass inspection and ended up getting my inspection done there today along with new brake pads and brake hose fixed. Work done quickly, and kept informed by the owner every step of the way. Expected a longer wait and higher price, less of a wait and lower price than expected! Very friendly family run business and the sweet Mom keeping conversation going in the background kept me entertained and made it very pleasant. Will be coming back for maintenance and new tires when its time for them. Thanks again guys!Jessica E.
I bought 4 tires from Kenny in October, 2020, BF Goodrich Advantage TA sport 94, for my Toyota Avalon. After just 3 MONTHS and 10,767 miles both front tires wore down to the wires and one went flat while I was driving. They are completely trashed with almost 60,000 miles left on the warranty. UPSET of course, as I could have been injured, I brought in the tire to show him since my car was not usable, and he blamed me for not rotating the tires every 5,000 miles. I have had that car 7 years and put on new tires every year and NEVER had a problem with tires like that!!!! He didnt even offer to call BF Goodrich and try to get replacements under the warranty.DO NOT GO THERE. GO somewhere that they will help fix the problem of defective tires, not blame you for missing one rotation! My trusted tire store/auto shop is helping solve the problem and called BF Goodrich for me!-Tom
Ive been going there for years and appreciate the no b.s. way they conduct business.
We’ve always been treated respectfully here, with staff that’s willing to go above and beyond to answer our questions. We will continue to bring our vehicles to Blue Ridge Tire!
Ive never written a Google review before. However, my experience in Blue Ridge TIre today prompted me to do so. Ive been a satisfied customer of this store for 21 years and was in the store today for a state inspection and a set of new tires. The showroom is small, and even though they were discussing it quietly, while I waited I overheard that the owners were upset about a Google review that had just been left for them today. Something about somebody who came in for a state inspection and then claimed that something done during the inspection had messed up the car which now had an alignment problem. The owner, Kenny, was upset and actually left the store for a time to go down to another local business which had supposedly dealt with this customer afterwards and blamed Blue Ridge Tire for some fault. When he returned, I heard Kenny tell his brother that the other store had in fact not blamed Blue Ridge Tire for anything and was upset that their stores name had been used in this way.I know this is getting long, but bear with me. In a past life (about 20 years ago), I was a VA State Inspector for Hartman Dodge. I do mechanical work on the side for my friends still, and have my own lift and tools at my personal shop. The only things that I take my vehicles to someone elses shop for are state inspections and tire changes, because Im not equipped to do either of those things at my home shop. My point is that Im very familiar with the state inspection routine and vehicle maintenance in general, all the way up to and including engine and transmission replacement and electrical diagnostics. This, by the way, is significantly more in-depth work than is performed by a shop such as Blue Ridge Tire who mainly focuses on consumable replacements. The ONLY WAY that a state inspection could alter the alignment of a vehicle is if the lug nuts werent tightened when they put the wheels back on. Youd know that right away because, well, your wheels would fall off while driving down the road. The parts where alignment adjustments are made are NEVER touched during a state inspection. It is not part of the inspection process and frankly would add a lot of time to a job which already doesnt pay the shops going rate. There is no reason for any mechanic, including a state inspector, to ever touch your caster, camber, or toe adjustments -- the only one who ever loosens these bolts is an alignment specialist or someone who is replacing certain suspension parts.I hope this is crystal clear. I hate to see a shop be blamed for something it did NOT DO. The people at Blue Ridge Tire have taken care of me for over two decades and it is the absolute least that I can do to offer an offsetting review of one which sounds completely fabricated. This whole Google / Yelp / whatever review process must be a real pain for businesses...they have no control over what people write and honestly, people like me and the other 5 customers who came and went in the store while I was there will almost never sit down and write a review for a positive experience. But today I decided that it needed to be done, and I apologize for all of the times, multiple times a year, when Ive set foot in BRTs store and never written a review. In a way I guess that makes me part of the problem. Heres hoping that this review makes up somewhat for two decades of being lazy about it.Thank you to Kenny and his workers who have always treated me right.
Very nice, very knowledgeable. Had 2 tires replaced and they got me in right away. Shortest time Ive ever spent at a tire shop.
Do great work. Very knowledgeable about tires and good customer service.
I come regularly every year for a car inspection they are always nice and let you know what happens. 💯 I recommend this place :)
They just lost a returning customer. I called to ask about an inspection as to which he indicated the earliest time would be Thursday -- which wouldnt work since my vehicle is a day overdo. I responded I would have to call back at a later time to see if it worked with my schedule. He then stated you seem not to understand... where I inputted Thursday may not work for me...(before I could state why..) -- he cut me off with Since you know what your talking about, Ill shut up and listen to what you have to say. I just stopped talking. He then added if you schedule an appointment Thursday, there would be no guarantee we could get you in that day. I responded flatly I understood that, I was simply stating I needed an inspection sooner, since its already due... Then okay, bye. I dont know if it was a bad day, or what. But I cant recall a time where Ive ever been cut off from customer service in my life. Good luck with business.Update: After seeing the response, I wanted to make this clear... when I expressed I would have to call back at a later time (I did NOT mention I would be calling back Thursday), thats when commented you seem not to understand... and when I tried to express Thursday may not work (if the next 3 shops I called told me Friday was the best they could do, I would have returned a call) -- I was cut off mid sentence with an aggressive Ill shut up and listen comment. My complaint has nothing to do with the service (my previous work done there seems to have been just fine) or the delay in the capability to schedule that evening (I understand many people wait till the end of the month). It seems the majority of your response was an attempt to disqualify and diminish the significance of my review -- Its like some people dont want to understand..., Frankly, I bore of having this conversation with adults, [inspect early, avoid delays] There was a time when people understood what that meant. I dont see how this is building a positive reputation by dropping passive aggressive comments on review responses. My negative review is for the awful way I was talked to over the phone (my initial reaction was to hang up after I stayed quiet -- then you went on to explain I would have to schedule early to get a spot on Thursday). If I was serious about getting my car in for scheduling, I would have made an appointment on the same phone call. However, I did not want to waste your time scheduling me in or my time to call back to cancel that appointment if another shop was able to take me that day. The next place I called right after that phone call were able to give me an inspection and oil change without any delays. It seems the majority of the reviews Ive looked over either express good work or hot temper / bad customer service. I was trying to give my business to a small company instead of a corporate chain -- oh well. Apparently, another review customer was loyal for 7 years before reaching the same conclusion I did. Good day, sir.
I am writing this review for my father, after multiple times of him reminding me to, due to the excellent customer survive he received. My dad went in to change his tires and soon after the service realized that one of the tires wasn’t working well. My dad went back to the shop and was treated with great respect and as a priority. The workers in the shop (especially Kenny) were extremely helpful and kind. They replaced his tire without any additional costs and made sure my dad was happy with their service, which he was. My dad has never asked me to write a review for anything before, and the fact that he did, means that your employees are doing amazing at their jobs. Keep up the good work!
Excellent service!! Had tire to be mounted and was out in about 30 minutes.
Blue Ridge Tire had great customer service
Great service, would recommend to anybody looking for new tires and inspections
Very poor customer service. They gave my doctor bad tires that wore out after three months and wouldnt do anything to help him.
Best place around to get tires! Great prices around and kenny is a sweetheart! Hes easy on the eyes too. Ill be back for sure
The guy over there was not friend. The lady was amazing they took too long to change the tire I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Kenny is awesome and they always do an amazing job for me going on 12 yrs now of service for me
Little pricey. Dont have replacement tires on site. Good customer service
Decent place to get work done. They did a decent job on small things such as state inspections and oil changes. However, they can be a little pricey when it comes to their other services, and their tires. They do great work, but Ive found cheaper places in the area that do just as good. If you decide to use them, bring a drink, a book, and a pillow; their waiting area is tiny and uncomfortable with not much to keep you occupied while you wait.
Great prices on quality tires. Great customer service and really friendly staff. Will always go back for tires and other needs. Definitely recommend!
Went in for an alignment. Was given before and after specs, as well as updates throughout the process due to one of my bolts being seized on.Very pleasant experience overall, friendly staff.
Just got inspection done. Great service fast and professional. Definitely new favorite place in Harrisonburg.
Excellent costumer service, they reminded me that my tires were getting low, worth checking out.Update.I took it for an alignment that I had to get fixed two weeks later. Rice tires in Verona were able to fix the issue altogether.
One of the few places where you can find honest people when comes about working on your car
Excellent service! Kenny was very helpful and fast! Place was very clean!
Dealt with very quickly and politely. Price on tires was fair and well explained the reason for them needing to be replaced. Saved me time by letting me repair something myself and brining it back in for inspection.
Staff and managers are nice to deal with and they do good work
Very knowledgeable and went out of their way to finish my repairs before the end of the day. Incredibly reasonable prices and top notch customer service. Highly recommend.
Terrible place, rude attitude, No respect I would never come back to this place in my life .
Kenny has poor customer services very disrespectful don’t recommend to anyone in Harrisonburg va and I was a returning customer sad.
Will not use them anymore. I suppose 7 years of repeat business means nothing.Kenny, it was your hot temper that drove me away. Being berated by you was an unpleasant experience for me; remember that? I sure do. And, the issue was not my vehicle failing inspection the issue came up when I explained to you that I could not afford to have you complete the repair. You became angry because I said I would fix the ball joint myself and come back for the inspection. And... I offered to pay you for the lift time. It was at this moment you lost your temper, i remember well. It was embarrassing
To unprofessional for my taste.
I couldnt really afford it on my budget since I am on full disability, and thats my only income, but it seemed that they had friendly qualified helpful employees then Im sure would be nice for people that have the kind of money that you need to be able to go to places like this.
Got 2 new tires, oil/filter change, sensor replacement, 4 wheel frame cleaning, check engine light diagnosis and one flat tire repair for my 2005 Jeep Cherokee. The owners Ken and Kenny were veryprofessional about checking with me for what should be done and pricing. The service mentioned above was done in 2-3 hours. Very efficient and I feel much safer driving on the road afterward.THANK YOU Blue Ridge Tire!Keen
Guy with the dumb glasses was rude for no reason, the ladies seemed nice, but he was very unprofessional...total Karen
Blue Ridge does what they do very well. They are a small shop, locally owned, and typically busy. would recommend Blueridge to family and friends with no reservation.I have bought tires, had alignments and had several repairs done here over the last 6-8 years. They are sticklers for inspections, but by no means dishonest. They take it seriously. When I want my wifes and my daughters cars inspected, I take them here because I know they will be thorough and honest. When I knew my car wouldnt pass a fair inspection a few years ago, I took it to someone who was more lenient (then it broke down and I had to get it fixed anyway)! Bottom line is that I believe that Kenny and the others have a high degree of integrity, and very little, if any, slick salesmanship. They are very honest when explaining problems and options for possible solutions. I
Wonderful and personable staff. Went in for a state inspection and they told me exactly what I needed to have replaced for my car to pass. They fixed it all on the spot, and for a fair price too.
Great service. Honest and professional!
I have used Blue Ridge Tire for about 5 years based on the recommendation of a friend. For my 2 cars, I get new tires, come back for free rotations, get an alignment at times and also State Inspections. The owners have always been polite, greet me by name, and do a thorough job. My first experience with them was in 2007 just prior to taking a 6,000 mile trip in an older vehicle. I was advised to get new tires and heavy duty suspension, which I did and Im glad I did so.
Avoid this place at all costs. No one deserves to be spoken to the way I was spoken to today.I took my car here and had the two front tires replaced. Afterwards my car began to make loud grinding, clunking, and cracking noises when I made sharp turns or hit the breaks. Overall the car and steering were very shaky. This was NEVER an issue with my car before they worked on it. I called the store to report the problem. They were very worried about the safety of the car and told me I should not be driving the car in that condition. They take another look at the car and quote me $180 to troubleshoot and MAYBE fix the problem. They were extremely incompetent in dealing with wheels that have spacers on them, and this is a tire shop... Honestly, I was expecting little to no cost for this repair, since I could have been seriously injured or my car damaged driving the car that they okayed two days earlier... I told him this, and Kenny proceeded to raise his voice at me, told me I could be simply lying about the issues I experienced. He proceeded to preach to me about how I am too young and know nothing about the hardships of life and should stop being so upset about a $100 repair. He loudly and aggressively lectured me about his own car troubles, family troubles, fathers health problems, etc... He seems to be going through a tough time but it shouldnt have been taken out on me.After being scolded, I told him to give my car back. I now have to take it to a more competent tire shop for additional repairs... I will never set foot in that place again. If you are a decent human being who expects respect in interactions, this place is not for you.
I always get my tires at Blue Ridge, very professional, and no nonsense.
We developed a flat tire just outside of Harrisonburg. I googled tire shops and Blue Ridge Tire came up with the highest review and number of reviewers. I am so glad I followed the reviews. They took the time to see if the tire could be repaired, showed us why the tire had to be replaced, found two tires with similar tread and relatively quickly had us back on the road. While there spoke with a retired engineer who had been going there for 30 years and spoke highly of the shops honesty. Based on the quality of service his recommendation was completely believable. Thanks Blue Ridge!
I had 4 new tires put on my car. After I left, the tire inflation warning light came on. Kenny and his staff quickly checked to make sure that it was not because of a tire problem and reset. After repeating the same a couple of times, Kenny personally contacted a dealer and did some personal research in order to solve this. In his research, he found that it was recommended that you drive the car for 20 minutes after resetting. He personally did this. That solved the problem ! Wow ! On top of this amazing customer service, Kenny called me sometime later to see if the fix worked OK. That kind of customer service and dogged determination to get it right is rare ! I am most grateful for Kenny and his teams professionalism, good manners, and trustworthiness. Thank you !
Never go to this place, not professional at all, I called to get a quote and the stupid on the phone hang up on me saying they couldnt help, even before I told them what my car problem was. Good luck doing anything there... F.them.
The work I have had done to my car here consists of 4 new tires, breaks and alignment twice (once after a collision). I have always had an exceptional experience. Today, I had a very bad tire puncture. I immediately took it to blue ridge tire and was back on the road with a new tire in no time. Thanks to Kenny and his staff I am able to salvage the rest of my day.
I got my tire changed within an hour of coming in, customer service was great!! I definitely recommend this business to anyone. Also their prices are very reasonable!
My wife took in our car for a state inspection they said it failed for front breaks the guy said that the front breaks were badly worn and would not pass but he could put new ones on for 90+ bucks...i told her to leave the car i would deal with it because the front breaks were just put on less than 48 hours before.. I had to go in make them show me the breaks were bad they said the guy who did the inspection was not currently there but they had another guy take the tire off and he agreed the front breaks were new.. I should have called the state police but they gave me a new sticker and apologized again and again...Never going back !!! Its because a woman took the car in...This was over a year ago but someone on Fb commented that this was a Good place to go for Inspection that reminded me how bad this place is
Nice, honest, caring people & great prices! BF Goodrich tires are the best, wether it be for old model cars or big jacked up trucks that need the best mud tires! If you need tires, work on your car from good, honest people go to Heishmans Blue ridge tire!
Service was absolutely outstanding! I bought two new tires and got some fluids changed. I had to wait because theres a first come first serve policy. They gave me a wait time and stuck to it. Lets just say this will be my go-to auto shop.
Outstanding service! Kenny is very knowledgable, technical & thorough! I have never had a shop care so much about making sure the tiniest specification was on point so that everything was right & safe for my family. Plus they were faster than any shop ever. I had blown a tire and desperately needed a set of 4 to get to Richmond that evening for a crucial business meeting. They were the only shop in town that had my very rare sized tires 235/35 in front offset with 255/35 in the rear in stock. I wont go anywhere else. I called them at 3:45, Margie said she would squeeze me in, I got there at 4:00 & was on my way right on time by 4:45. It seems that many of the negative reviews were related to people angry about failing an inspection but rather than giving a negative review, just take responsibility that your car was not safe enough or legal enough to pass the state requirements, so fix it! I love this place!
Steve is a really knowledgeable mechanic and I always have a pleasant experience when Mr.Heishman his dedication to this long running business shows in his employees and his respect for customers. Kenny however needs to go he always seems to be irritated and Ive heard him speaking to customers in rude or inappropriate tones. Thanks
Very helpful and reasonable. They do good work. Christian family owned.
Honestly, i must say that overall my experience was a good one. I called on a Saturday morning and spoke with Kenny (the younger guy) who told me he could get tires I wanted in an hour. I was able to schedule an appointment that day and was able to to get new tires on my vehicle. That was great. A few days later I had an alignment completed (approximately 3 days later). I had a 10:00am appointment and was on time for my appointment. I went to sit in the waiting area and after a few minutes another customer comes in saying he had a 10am appointment for an alignment. This customer could not see me in the waiting area but began to talk with the young lady (owners daughter) at the front desk about an issue he was having at work which seemed to be race related. He commented that they are the ones that are being prejudice now. The young lady agreed with him and commented that now that Obama is in the White House they think they can say anything. At this point, I tried to tune them out as I am an African American male living in the Harrisonburg area. Im writing because it is a shame that this gentleman had lumped a group of people together because of the behavior of one. It was also shocking to here this type of conversation when these two individuals did not realize I was around. The things people say when they think no ones around. Im not sure that I can take my vehicle back to this place because of this. As of today, Im not sure that my business is welcomed. I had great service but I could have used without hearing their personal views of people in our community different than themselves. Still processing.........
Ill take my chances of getting pulled over before I take anything back to them... it was the one and only time I will ever bring anything theyre not even a wheelbarrel
Refused to inspect my van on account of drivers seat being loose. My van is 16 years old and has electric controlled seats in it. Over time the electric mechanism wears a bit causing a bit of forward/backward movement (less than a half inch, I measured it) the seat is securely anchored to the pedestal and floor. This is not a safety issue! VA law states to inspect drivers seat for anchorage, location, and condition the seat is clearing within state spect! The guy was clearly having a bad day and I guess I was his target. Its sad really because Im new to the area and was looking for a warm family owned business to buy tires from. Sorry guys Ill never step foot in your shop again!!! And this is coming from a guy that grew up in a family owned repair shop. My dad would of fired this guy on the spot for such rude and petty bs. And another thing had the guy not been driving my van like a mad man in the first place he would have never noticed the slight play in the seat.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! If I could leave negative 5 stars I would!
Took good care of me; definitely recommend
A simple inspection was made in to a complex situation. Kenny called me to notify me that the lack the tools to complete the inspection so he would be forced to reject the vehicle. If you offer any type of service than its obvious you should have the equipment to complete the job, not penalize the customer for your shops short comings. Then while attempting to explain the situation Kenny became verbally aggressive. When going to retrieve the vehicle he falsified paperwork saying there was a problem with the vehicle to reject it, just trying to cover his tracks. All the while the underlying problem was they did not have the proper tools to complete the inspection. Nonetheless we still paid for the bogus inspection, while being belittled in front of other customers.Discriminating against women, and other races is not okay. Regardless of your personal views of gender, race, and biracial couples its your choice to work with the public, so making rude comments, and facial expressions is inexcusable.Your customer service skills are quite frankly pathetic. You boasting about being in business for 40 years does not give you the green light to get into customers face and raise your voice and create a scene. Furthermore with you as a manager youll be lucky if your business last another few years, but on a more positive note there is always unemployed.Lastly the rude, pathetic customer service you give to other will eventually be given back to you. Its Karma.
3 hours of MENIAL work (brake bleed and change) is worth $240? Not worth the close proximity. Also, if any service is close to DOUBLE the labor cost, give a sister a little warning when explaining what needs to be done. Sniped.
I am a JMU student and I had my SUV towed here. Unfortunately my car required a service they couldnt provide, but they have such an amazing service and they charged me very fairly on an evaluation. I would recommend to anyone! I also get my car inspected here!
In the end I was very dissatisfied with this service because of the rude communication from the manager (seems to be a theme of other reviews as well), and that a seemingly simple service (flat tire fix) became a negative ordeal. I removed the details of the situation because I dont want to come across as attacking, but to let others know the type of poor experience I had. The job was done and I paid for it, but I wont be returning or recommending their services.
Honest locally owned tire shop. I would definitely return
Went for a simple inspection on my car got the complete run around. Avoid this place at all costs. Was told I had a solid suspension which is completely bogus my car is lowered but is not solid that would mean I drive a matchbox car. I have done business here many times before but this had done it. I will never shop or recommend this business again. Took my car to my full mechanic outside of town Rittenhouse Automotive and he passed it said there was nothing wrong. Will never try to save time with them again. I hope they go out of business giving out false information.
Been going to Blue Ridge Tire for years and have always received great service. Its one of the few auto repair shops where you can trust what your being told. If Ken Sr. or Kenny tell you something needs to be fixed, you can believe them. They dont recommend unnecessary repairs.
Super nice folks
Older guy is rude, and a smart aleck, he is the owner, I had a tire alignment done and it was done wrong they also blamed my tires, told me to get them rotated, i did, and the problem was still there all the same, I went back to ask for a refund because my steering wheel still wasnt straight, and it still pulled to the left. The owner refused to help me because he said they have their alignment machine calibrated on a regular basis and he kept telling me to have a good day, and that it was done correctly, I told him Im sure there is nothing wrong with the machine, but I told him he needed to teach his employees, who do the job, just because they put the steering wheel to straight by eye sight, doesnt mean it is straight, because most older vehicles could have just a little bit of play in them, and that you must get the play straight, before putting the steering wheel to straight, my steering wheel has almost an inch of play in it. I asked them to test drive it, and they refused to do so, they wanted me to be the judge of it, and well, they still didnt listen to the customer anyway so why even ask to let me be the judge of it. The owner kept cutting me off. He would not let me talk, and I observed, by his actions, he really had zero intentions of helping me or listening to me, instead, he kept questioning about why I had to be so loud. I was trying to tell him my part of it what happened and what i felt and that i wanted a refund, I took some breaths and to calm myself down, but apparently I was still being too loud, but Im sure he kept doing what he was doing because he was head strong about his decision and he knew he wasnt going to give me my money back, because he knew he was winning the situation, just to say if you have an older vehicle, take it somewhere else, Ive already taken it elsewhere, and they got it right on the first try. They will take your money and run. This was a waste of $60. This is not how you do business if you want returning and satisfied customers.
Pro: I came to get my tire patched and the service was very fastCon: The employee who helped me pay was rude and impatient. I have a corporate car. I agreed to pay for the service out of pocket. When I called corporate to let them know this they asked to speak with the employee. He was rude and impatient with them, too
I was so far from home to wake up to a flat tire in hotel parking lot. They had the cheapest replacement around the area. Learned that my custom wheel was bent and they had it fixed within a couple hours.
Very helpful knowledgeable even taking time to point out things that may need fixed asap pricing seems to carefully considered
I drop off my car and leave, this is how my husband and I trust them. They are the best and honest people
The best place in town for car maintenance, honest people.
A+ shop here. I was looking for a set of tires same day in Harrisonburg and didnt want to order anything. I must have called 5 shops before these guys and I regret not calling them first. Not only did they have a huge selection in stock, they even went across town and picked up the Cooper tires I wanted before I even showed up to the door. Excellent customer service. When I asked Kenny questions on tires for my truck he gave me no b.s. answers and helpful advice. He helped me choose the right set for my use. They immediately got to work on the truck. Tire mounting, balancing, and an oil change took less than an hour. Great service.I recently had a different shop install two new CV axles on my truck and the guys at Blue Ridge Tire took me out into the shop and warned me that the other guys installed it all wrong. I immediately took it over and had the original shop give me two new axles and install it right! Thanks for that. Saved me a lot of headache before it got worse.Price was great too. $50 for a full synthetic oil change on a Hemi Ram truck! Best price Ive ever paid. I was out the door with 4 tires and the oil change for around $750. Couldnt be any happier. Keep it up guys. I told my father to stop by because he is looking for a new set of tires for his 2500 Silverado. Im sure you will hook him up too.
I am so Grateful to have found Blue Ridge Tire and to have talked with a gentleman named Kenny . You see, my son is a struggling 4yr student at JMU, I am a disabled vet. without alot of money and my son had only 1 car since he first started driving; a 93 Ford escort that barely runs. He desperately needed tires, as his are now bald and unsafe. I started looking around on the net for a USED tire place and BRT came up. I called, got Kennys very POSITIVE recommendations on AFFORDABLE NEW tires. I thought that we would be lucky to afford old USED TIRES, so this alone was a blessing in disguise .This WAS NOT the first tire store I called, I do not live in Harrisonburg and had to do everything long distance. He coordinated with my son who was working, got NEW tires on his car and came in at least $40 cheaper than anyone around . But most of all BRT was understanding of our money situation, compassionate, and acted just like a friend at church. We could not be more GRATEFUL, thank you again BRT, I highly recommend Kenny and BRT and we plan on being back as long as my family is in the area. Sincerely; Jw. Griffith
I visited this shop on December 19th to get a wheel alignment and get new tires mounted on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma. I have after market 18in Dropstars DS645B wheels on my truck and had ordered the tires on-line to have mounted. After about 20-30 min the manager Kenny came out to show me that a piece of the inner rim on 1 of my wheels some how snapped off while mounting the tire. I have the utmost respect for the mechanic working on my truck for telling Kenny and for Kenny for telling me. It is rare a business will take accountability for unfortunate damage that may happen to your property. Unfortunately there are customers that will try to blame businesses for damage that they know was already there or businesses that will try to hide damage they know they did. Thankfully we were able to work it out and that was not the case here. I will gladly take my vehicle back to Blue Ridge Tire in the future and recommend them to others!!!
Ive used Blue Ridge Tires multiple times and will continue to use Blue ridge Tires. Customer service is great and there prices are good.
Great service and prices, I will be back!
Their service was great. I was in and out with a front end alignment and new tires within two hours
Broke my windshield wiper nozzle during an oil change then said they cant fix those and they have no idea how it broke but it wasnt them, except they were the only people under the hood and I used the wiper fluid right before handing over the car. It seemed obvious that it got snagged on something when they closed the trunk and it broke. Accidents happen but they should have taken responsibility for the damage/. Also I really hate the stupid religious pamphlets they hand out. I want an oil change not a religious comic book about how Ill go to hell for drinking.
Always do business here. Great prices and customer service.
Always tops in customer service! I always recommend this shop.
Theyve services my car multiple times, never and issue that they couldnt solve.
They know tires! Great service!
