This is by far the best experience at a dealership that Ive had.. even just talking to the sales rep was an great experience he was very informative and was willing to walk me through ever little extra feature the truck has. The staff was friendly and helpful. I went to the service department this Wednesday with questions about wheel lugs on my Jeep Wrangler. Bruce helped me inspect those wheel lugs and explain the issues to me that I was not aware of, then helped me schedule a service. Despite this recent visit, I have been doing regular maintenances here for more than six years and the overall experiences are great.

The general manager was very good to me, I was rear-ended in the parking lot by a woman. She was awful called me every name in the book even though she hit my car. He was very helpful. Honestly if he didnt step up and to IPD what happened I think her tears would have fooled the young IPD officer. She put on a huge act. But thank you to the maguire team that came to my rescue. I really appreciate it.

We had the absolute more delightful experience working with Alexander Eldridge at Maguire to purchase our new Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. A few things popped out that we loved.First, there was no pressure. Alex answered our questions, walked us through the numbers, looked for the right car for us (they had to bring it from another dealership) and not just something on the lot. Second, there was no funny business with the numbers. He mentioned a rebate we had no considered. The numbers did not change, the interest rate was 2.5% and when we declined the add on packages, done. Third, and this is rare in our experience, Alex knew minivans and hybrids. We went to Ithaca from the Buffalo area because our local dealerships really couldnt be bothered with either. They did not have them in stock and werent motivated to get ones wed identified as nearby. Minivans are declining in popularity but Chrysler has the only one that is a hybrid and gets 82 MPG, and Alex could explain the details of each.On arrival, the whole process too about 2 hours, pretty short in car buying terms. The paperwork was done except for the final loan figure. It was a delightful drive on a cool crisp Autumn day and a very, very pleasant buying experience. I would look at Maguire, and recommend Alex specifically, any time.

Best repair shop for jeep and dodge
I appreciate that they got my vehicle in quickly, but I think its absurd to pay for a battery check more than once while they are fixing a problem. yes, they checked the battery more than once while fixing and diagnosing but the fee for that is rather high and I dont appreciate paying it again for the same service.

Stranded in Ithaca 300 miles from home with a failed starter on a Sunday evening. Service manager and mechanic were able to diagnose and remedy the problem while working around their already full schedule. The service staff at Maquire went out of their way to get us back on the road in the shortest amount of time possible. We highly recommend the service department at Maguire Chrysler Dodge in Ithaca.
PSA: Dont ever go to any Mcguire Car Dealership. Absolute liars and thieves. My car has been quoted multiple times being valued at $4500 plus. He offers me $4000 on the phone. I drive an hour and a half to Ithaca (which he knew and I made it clear to not waste my time) for him to tell me he meant to say $2000. Funny thing is the couple infront of me said the same thing. Absolute low balling and the lie to my face was cherry on top. Worst car dealer experience Ive ever had. No stars.

Stopped in for an emergency check on our Jeep before heading to Long Island. They had no room to put the car on a bay, but ran tests to see if it was safe to travel. Turned out, only a software update was all that was needed. They took care of it right away so we could make the trip. They were super friendly and extremely helpful.

Do NOT buy a car from this place. My son bought a vehicle here in 2016 and had problems with it a year later . Took it in for a recall which who knows if it was even fixed because he ended up having the same problem with it. When my son purchased the car he bought an extended warranty and now they are telling us that the extended warranty won’t cover it because it’s over 75,000 . I was told 2 weeks prior that it was covered up to 88,000 miles lol. Now they are saying that the 75,000 mileage coverage includes the 14,000 miles that were on the car when he bought it! Definitely not what we were told. My husband and I were both there when this purchase was made and we were told the 75,000 miles would be on top of the mileage that was already on the car. Who would pay for a warranty that included mileage that was already on the vehicle at the time of purchase?? It’s laughable. The service manager Don preceded to tell me that the people that worked there at the time my son bought the car are no longer there. Hahaha! Ok.... He also said to me did your son sign the paperwork? Well yes he did because he trusted Mcguires employee who definitely misled us. Please read all paperwork from there. Don’t take the word of the salesmen . Now my son is stuck paying 2100 dollars to get this fixed and wasted a bunch of money on an extended warranty that he can’t use.

Went to Ithaca stopped to see a specific truck to get some numbers had to wait over 30 minutes for someone, mean while two people sat in their office playing on their phones, seen me waiting, eventually they got some sales guy from the other dealership to come over that had no clue of RAM trucks. They come out with some absurd price tag that being as old and as many cars that I have purchased was so far out of line honestly the numbers do not make any sense whatsoever. Service manager was friendly, but thats the only nice thing I can say. Service department seems to be horribly mismanaged. Maguire owns every dealership in the area so I guess they have no incentive to perform well. Took 98 days to fix my transmission under warranty. I was just outside of lemon law territory when I brought it in, so Im sure they were in no hurry. After two weeks of sitting on it they managed to get me a loaner. Had to drive their Chrysler 200 with junk tires and giant Maguire decals through the entire winter instead of my 4WD Patriot. Some mornings I was lucky to get out of my parking lot. Got my vehicle back, finally, and now theres a problem with the steering that wasnt there before, so itll have to go right back to the shop. Not Maguire, of course; Ill take my chances in Cortland, where Ill also be buying my next vehicle.

We bought a 2015 Jeep Renegade (brand new) and the service was great until we started having one problem after another with it. The warranty covered everything, but it was in the service shop more times than we were able to drive it and it still is because Chrysler is giving us a runaround about replacing it. Its now making a growling noise and they just keep replacing the bearings and telling us that the noise is gone. We have had this vehicle in the shop four times now for the same issue and they still havent figured it out. And now we dont get loaner cars or phone calls to update us on the situation.

I brought my work truck to this dealership because they said they could replace my wheel seal and do the water pump recall so it would limit my down time without my truck. My trucks weighs 19000 lbs and its hard to find dealerships that have lifts to handle the weight, so I was happy to drive an hour to this dealership and get a ride back home. I dropped my truck off at 8pm and called the next day around 3pm to check on the progress. They told me they had completed the recalls but could not do the wheel seal because the lift would not raise my truck. They actually put on the paperwork that they tried to lift my truck but couldnt and the lift sounded like it didnt like trying to pick up my truck.That raised some safety concerns but it really irritated me that I had to call the dealership to find out that not all the work could be done and that my truck had been done for who knows how long. So I get a ride up to the dealership and pick up my truck and about 10 miles down the road the low coolant light comes on and takes almost a gallon to top it off. Its very frustrating when places dont seem concerned at all with the inconvenience they have caused you. My personal truck is a Ram and Im glad I dont live close to this dealership so I never have to use it again.

6/10/16: Our first. car buying experience was great. The sales person was nice, not pushy, and he spent 45 mins trying to find us the lowest rate, which we were happy with. We bought a 2014 Dodge Avenger with 26,000 miles on it, once we hit 46,000 the fourth gear in the transmission went. It was covered under the warranty and they told us a week. It took a month, then when we got the car back not only was it filthy, the engine was leaking oil!I am now sitting in Maguire and they are telling us its going to be 1-2 hours to fix and they dont have any cars for us to use. Its awesome to spend 2 hours sitting at the dealership on my only day off. Of course if history repeats, two hours will be six!They fixed the CV boot within two hours which is great, but the car was dirtier than when we had brought it in. It looked like they had just sprayed it down with a hose.Edit: 6/11/16: Now we have another problem. We brought the car in yesterday because the check engine light has been popping on and off. They said they wouldnt be able to get us in until Monday which is bull because this is obviously something they did. Im tempted to take off another star.Edit: 6/16/16 - After two days of having our car they called us to tell us that a valve had to be replaced and it would be a couple days. This is not why I dropped it to one star.The reason why I dropped it to one star was this:On Monday we got a Fiat 500 as a rental while they had our car. I liked it so much I decided to go buy one. Luckily they had a 2012 Fiat 500 Pop for $7999. I was so excited! While I thought the price was a little high (I found a 2013 with less miles only going for $8599) I really wanted it.I went in to see Pablo on Tuesday. I guess a sales person will be a sales person because he tried selling me a 2015 that I didnt want. They say they dont get commission, but he was pushing it pretty hard. Despite this we set up a time for Thursday.I decided I wanted to go in Wednesday to look at a Hyundai that they had advertised on their website for the same price, but I went in and it wasnt there. Brian said I could come back in that night and take a test drive in the Fiat I looked at the day before. When we returned Pablo was conveniently there even though he had a conference all day.We talked with Pablo about payment options and he gave us four prices. One without the warranty, one with the basic warranty, and two more with better warranties. We chose the basic warranty and the total price came out to $225 a month, which seemed expensive, but I knew our credit wasnt the best. I initialed a paper with the circled price and couldnt wait to get my Fiat! He told us to come in today and we could sign the papers and be ready to go, he assured us it would be quick, easy, and there would be no hiccups.We went in today, waited 15 minutes, then we all sat down to sign the papers and they tell us that the banks approved us at a higher rate, a whopping 17.5%. This brought our payments to $255 a month. Only $30 more per month, is what he said, but for a college student, that would pay for my books for two semesters. We looked and the loan would be through Chryslers bank! Its like they didnt check any other ones. In the end we would have paid almost $16,000 for a car listed at $7,999. It is the worst feeling to feel like you are going to get something and then having it fall through.The sales manager for Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram kept blaming it on the creditors, which it seemed like they only checked one, but the fact is what they did was not only unethical, but it seems like false advertising, which is illegal. They told us one price, which I initialed, this not only created a verbal contract, but a written one. The Dodge Avenger will be the first, and last car we ever buy from Maguire. The only reason why our car is there is because it was still covered under warranty. I wish I could give zero stars.

Even if you bought the car there and buy every warranty, they will still charge you $100 right off the bat for service. They call it a diagnostic fee.If you are ok with that then get ready to OVER pay for service to your vehicle. They told me my Alternator was bad and that it would be $585! ( its a $230 part ).I mean if you like walking through a cloud of cigarette smoke on your way into serice and like people with cigarette breath trying to explain their ridiculous prices then this is the shop for you. Of not then I suggest you think twice before bringing your vehicle here.
One star because I can not give them a zero, I bought my 2015 Dodge Ram from them brand new, I recently had my truck in for a check engine light. My cruise control was shorting out intermittently, they tried to locate the short but were unsuccessful, fast forward about 3 weeks and I parked my truck a little different at home and noticed oil spots on the ground under my truck, curious I immediately popped the hood and discovered the plastic cover over the top of the engine slid off to the side and my oil filler cap completely missing! The oil was coming out of the top of my filler tube, hitting the underside of my hood and running down the side of my motor. I tried to put the cover back on but was unable to because one of the mounts for it had been loosened up, but never tightened back up. It looked as though someone had simply shut the hood, and backed my truck out. The next day I called Maguire service desk and explained what I had found, and simply asked if they found my oil cap laying on a bench by accident. Charm I believe was the ladies name who answered my call, told me that No that is impossible, if your oil cap had been off when you left here you would have known long ago, I was a bit taken back, no one had been under the hood of my truck since I had had it in at Maguire, im also not sure that she knew that my truck holds 12 quarts of oil, and could lose a little with out issue. She did want me to schedule my vehicle in for them to take a look at it, but I refused, the best case scenario it would have taken them 2 weeks to get it in like always, and I do not trust them. I understand accidents happen but to not even look into the situation and basically call me a liar is unacceptable. When I had my truck in there for the check engine issue I also was told by people working at the service desk that the guardian warranty that I bought does not cover MOPAR parts, which has me concerned because not many aftermarket parts have been made for the EcoDiesel. Over all I am very disappointed with how the few large local dealerships treat customers after the sale. Buyers beware.

They were oh so happy to sell me a car... A 2012 Dodge avenger, worst car EVER!!! I was later informed that these cars blow motors consistently by a knowledgeable mechanic. When my engine went they said it was because I didnt keep up on oil changes, so it wouldnt be covered under the warranty, which, I did get a little behind but per five other CERTIFIED mechanics as long as there was oil in the motor this was not the cause, and there was always oil in the motor. They soaked me for over 5,000 for a used motor, and took three months to put it in, claiming there was another car in front of mine that they couldnt figure out. They also allowed one of their employees to take it to Binghamton from Ithaca for a probation appointment (he left his parking slip in my car). When I asked them about this they denied. I am, less than two years later, having problems with an EGR valve which they are claiming isnt covered by their parts and labor warranty on the motor they put in and they have told me they didnt have time to check it. The manager, Char, has a bad attitude towards everyone and gets nasty very quickly, she does not care at all about the customer! I also got stuck paying for an alternator, which, should have been covered, and was charged almost twice what other mechanics charge to do an alternator.. go anywhere but this place!!And Im stuck bringing it back for the egr valve because its a freaking crystler and most mechanics can not pick point which valve is sticking, only the dealerships seem to have the software, it if have someone else do it. Personally I feel they are trying to push me off until their motor warranty they have me runs out before they fix it.. I guess being the only dealership in the area exempts you from giving courteous and excellent customer service... Ill be going to Williams or Legacy Auto from this point forward, much more customer friendly people and prices!

My front door handle fell off my car is starting to rust the front paint started to chip. I understand this may be caused by the weather in Ithaca but come on this was not an issue when purchased. I cant see how 11 months can cause rust a door handle to fall off as well. Probably not related but will add in I have been through 5 tires brand new from my fiat and they are contiential tires, not sure if related to a mechanical issue or just roads in the area. Thankfully I can get them exchanged by the company. I feel like this car is a lemon and love to drive but so many problems. Had 800 dollars of work done for front of car here warranty that they make you buy covers nothing.
They just want money ! Without doing the jobs, I took my Subaru down for an oil change, they told me I need to spend bunch of money to replace my tires and my air filter, and my break pads, immediately they told me.even though I just replaced my air filter two weeks before ! my inspection they failed me because of my windshield wipers, I have to buy a new one from them .
Meggan was such a huge help scheduling me for a couple of service appointments I needed! Overall such a great experience!
