I was overwhelmed trying to decide on a vehicle but Dave was able to speak about multiple types that I was interested in and helped me settle on the perfect one. What an amazingly quick and painless car buying experience. By far the best I have ever had! We came prepared, new what we wanted ahead of time, so the car was ready and we move through the process in about an hour I was driving out with our car. No pressure, no sales pitch for extra warranty, not extra people to have to go see. A simple process of showing vin # and odometer reading gave us the best possible trade in price and Maguire also had the best price on the car. Win-win!

Ive got one word for you: Jeff Philips. He was a fantastic salesman. Old school. Makes you feel welcome and comfortable. And no pressure. He made us feel like we were in the drivers seat and gave us the space we needed. He abilities are endless: he sold us a Toyota off his Honda lot. Seriously. The toyota dealership set us up with a young kid who tried, and failed, to do some backdoor dealings with us (it was awkward) but then we drove down to Honda and Jeff made us realize what we were missing. Great place to shop for cars. I highly recommend it.

This was our first time at this dealership. We saw a car online we liked and made an appointment to see that car. When we arrived the car was waiting for us. We dealt with Christian and found him very comfortable to work with. He was knowledgeable about the car we wanted and answered all of our questions. We feel we ended up with an excellent deal and are extremely pleased with the vehicle. We are also very pleased that this dealership (and Christian) did EVERYTHING they said they would. I brought my civic in for a new ignition cylinder. I dropped off 3 old keys. For a mere $900 the ignition cylinder was fixed and I asked for 4 keys. When I picked up the car I was handed the old keys and I was told by the customer service person that they were not sure why they were returning them, and three new keys. I was told the fourth was in the car. The person driving the car home forgot to look. It wasnt there. What is even worse is I got stranded that night. It turns out the new keys dont get you into the car and I really did need the old keys. Someone had to go get the old keys so I could get home. Thankfully I didnt go far. At no point was I aware or would I have thought that I was going to need both the old and new keys and, in fact, when I picked up the car I was told they werent needed. The fourth key I asked for doesnt have any real value since I dont have an old key to go with it and so they sold me something with no real value. This is not the first time Ive had a bad experience with them. Bottom line is that Maguire is a monopoly in town and if you need a dealership locally you have to use them. This needs to change.

I was very pleased with the service I received at Maguire Honda. The salesman, Jeff, was prompt with returning phone calls and texts, friendly and didnt pressure me to purchase anything I didnt want. He had my vehicle ready on the day and at the time he said he would. I just test drove the car and signed some paperwork and Jeff took care of the rest. I absolutely loved everything about my experience with Maguire Honda.I came to them due to totalling my car, so it wasnt something I was doing willingly, it was a forced situation and on a tight time table due to insurance and what not. Jessica, my amazing and talented sales woman made the process so much less stressful and worked everything down to the last detail out. Might I add, I lived 2 hrs away from the dealership and so most of our discussions and planning was done through text and/or email, and she handled it all in stride even when the insurance started taking their sweet time.I would recommend Maguire Honda to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. They work with you to find a vehicle that will fit your needs and do what they can to save money.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I’ve been taking my car here since 2016 and I’ve never felt like they were trying to cheat me out of money like other repair shops in town. The service shop has been doing tire changes, oil changes, repair, and state inspections for me throughout the years. Steven, Laura, and Char are all wonderful and have kept me updated with my car when it’s been in the shop. The prices are a little on the high side, but the quality is absolutely worth it.

Phenomenal service! I bought my car from Honda of Ithaca in 2017. I had been in an accident and needed body work done and knew I wanted it from a reputable business. I called the body shop and Bruce worked with both myself and my insurance company in making timely arrangements. Smooth process! My car was even cleaned at the end before pick up! I was super disappointed in the price that they charge for an oil change/ tire rotation. When I arrived I was told $98. I thought was saw extremely high as when I take my car to Williams Honda in Big Flats it’s always $30 less expensive. I complained and when I went to pay for it she told me it was a little cheaper… $96. Big deal. This place is a ripoff.

I took my Honda Fit to Maguire for recall work related drive shaft. The work was done on time and to my satisfaction. The entire staff was courteous and cooperative.

I have serviced my 2012 CRV at Ithaca Honda/mcGuire Honda since arriving to the area in 2013. I am extremely pleased with the professional service given, advance notice of servicing needs down the road and anticipated cost, availability of loaner vehicles, availability of local transport for off site and courteous and knowledgeable staff as well as reasonable charges. My car continues to run well thanks to this dealership and its service dept.

The salespeople are great, but the service department is an example of why consumers dont trust mechanics. Twice now, Ive taken my vehicle in for a factory recall, and each time have been told that my brakes are metal on metal and quoted over $500 for repair. When I check with my regular mechanic, Im told that the brakes are FINE. Use these folks for the factory recalls, but trust nothing they say otherwise.

The sales rep, Dave, was very knowledgeable, courteous, and never pushy. The facility was sparkling clean as were the cars we looked at. We were treated fairly and honestly. Dont expect bargain prices, but we recommend Maguire Honda of Ithaca for other car shoppers.

We were on a road trip and our engine light started flashing as we hit Ithaca... on a Saturday . We called immediately and spoke to Laura - she was so kind and accommodating and they were able to get us in and out before the end of the day. They really saved us! Would highly recommend.

The service managers are friendly and professional and are always able to explain recommended vehicle care and answer my questions. Overall my experience was surprisingly not stressful and very informative as my salesman, who oddly enough shared the same last name as me, knew his sh*#. Any question I had he answered thoroughly and without any bs. I will say that I knew I was dealing with one of the best salesman as my mother had purchased her car from him 2 months prior and my sister got hers from him 2 weeks prior, so I knew what to expect going in which was nice. Then I found out he actually had been my grandfathers go to sales guy for many years, so he definitely knew my family, and they knew him. He started by showing me 2 cars he thought Id like, which I did, but not quite what I wanted. Before I could tell him that he read my vibe and said he had one more he wanted to show me that he wasnt planning on showing. I am very happy he did because I fell in love immediately! I spent about 2 hours there that day, chose the car and was back 2 days later driving it away. The best part was he had the rear brakes and rotors changed, 4 new tires put on it (I mentioned the tires looked a little worn when I was walking around the car) and of course all fluids and filters changed. Before I left he spent about 20 minutes showing me how to use many of the features instead of just handing me the book and letting me figure it out. He didnt have to do that seeing as the sale was done and I was leaving, so I consider that going above and beyond. It was nice being treated like someone who mattered as too many times this day in age I am treated like a nobody, just a number or a statistic. I highly recommend checking this place out. I should have listened to everybody I trust. Do not go to Maguire! They are a monopoly and quite simply. Dont care! Bought a 40,000 car and quite simply were not friendly, helpful or professional. Its sad, the prior owners were the best. McGuire is at a new low. I could go on for some time about the difficulties with this car purchase but dont have the energy or time. I just need to move on from Mcquie and find a dealership who will treat their clients with the respect they deserve.

I bought a car from maguire honda last year, got a very good deal, best financing available so I decided to check out some cars again last week. They were very professional, not pushy, very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodated all my questions and concerns which were a lot. I checked out cars all over town even the one in Elmira which was the worse, car has good value but staff were rude, pushy, not transparent with the deals so I went back to Maguire, they took care of me and got the car I want. Dave was very knowledgeable, went above and beyond to explain all the features and settings eventhough it was already after business hours. Meggan explained the financing options very well and got me the best deal, no shady deals, everything was transparent. Will definitely recommend them and will buy from them again. They treat you well there, feel like part of their maguire family now

I was in for airbag recall and it was done on record time. The service person pointed out a few things I needed done, but no one was pushy. You dont have to worry about getting out in the rain or snow as you drive right into a garage which is attached to the service department and there is a nice waiting area with ample tables and chairs.

I love the staff at McGuire Honda service department. Scotty always takes great care of me and since hes become the service manager, Laura has taken on that role. All of the service managers are very nice and extremely helpful. Even if I need something small done they pay attention to it like it was something large. They dont really base the service on how much youre spending, they base it on breeding Honda loyalty and seeing you as a person. Ive now had everything from my car inspection and putting the new plates on the car to a major service and theyve always treated me with courtesy and respect.I would highly recommend McGuire Honda in Ithaca to anyone.
