Absolutely disheartening experience - arrived with a brand new Kia (purchased at another dealer located 4 hours away) due to an overheating engine. Was indifferently informed that the earliest they can look at the car would be 3 (three!!!) weeks later... I was provided the alternative of contacting the closest Kia service in hopes of an earlier appointment (the info provided was incorrect, as the one recommended was not the closest Kia service)... Extremely disappointing first (and likely last) experience - if you can take your car elsewhere (especially if it was purchased elsewhere), keep driving/towing away...

I had a great experience at Maguire. This is my second car buying experience with Beth. Beth answered all of our questions and made usfeel comfortable and apart of the family. Its been years since the service dept flat out lied to my face about what was needed to fix my 2015 Kia Soul, but I am still disgusted. They advised I needed almost $5k worth of work including sensors and gaskets, etc, and said it wouldnt be warrantied. Charged $50 for a false diagnostic. I knew it was my catalytic converter and it should be covered. Took it back to my selling dealer 4hrs away. I was 100% correct and my car is still running well at 135K miles.

I used Maguire Kia for my new car and had a wonderful experience. The salesman, Adam, who we worked with was friendly and helpful every step of the way. Everyone else in the dealership was always asking if we needed anything and offering options for our five year old son who was with us and less than thrilled about being in a car dealership for any length of time. Overall a wonderful experience. I would go back again.

I drove to my appointment to get my heat fixed only to be told that it had been moved without my knowledge because the necessary parts had not come in yet, so i had to reschedule. When I called to ask for an update on the parts, I was met with attitude. When i finally did get my car in, I was charged over 900 dollars to still have no heat. I was told that the car could not be fixed for liability reasons, and what they could fix would cost me over 2800 dollars. I brought it to a mechanic, who was able to fix it by replacing a faulty wire connector for 10 dollars, and I had heat again. I dont have a lot of money, and i feel like all of it had been wasted on Maguire.

DO NOT DO IT - do not buy a vehicle from them let alone service it!!I paid $1,002.64 for a new water pump for my VW Jetta and put less than 4,000 miles on it before it started leaking again. I had it checked out and it requires another water pump.I called and spoke with Eric the service manager at Maguire of Ithaca and he informed me I am 2 weeks out of warranty regardless of only putting less than 4,000 miles on it. He then informed me he is my advocate and will contact VW customer care. When I called him back a week later he said that he is unable to get in touch with anyone at VW Care. Another week went by and I called VW Care and was able to speak with them in less than 10 minutes.At this point I am out $1,000 and do not have a vehicle I can drive.SO IF THE SERVICE IS THIS BAD - DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BUY A VEHICLE FROM THEM KNOWING SOME DAY YOU WILL NEED IT FIXED!!!

My wife and I had a very good experience buying our Kia Niro from here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our test drive was a joy. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the cars we were considering. We just wished that we knew that they had coffee available for customers before we got to the end!

We have done business with this dealership several times and every time is a pleasant experience! I have no complaints. The staff has always been pleasant and professional.On our most recent visit we were in the market for a new lease with a very limited budget, our salesman Bryan Planty was very patient with us while we were trying to decide between 2 vehicles. In the end he and the sales manager Ricky Russo were able to get us into a lease on a 2017 Sportage in the exact price range we were looking for!I really appreciate how the staff at Maguire Kia understand what a big decision buying/leasing a new vehicle is, unlike most dealerships they are not pushy. We received a recall letter from Kia regarding a seatbelt pretensioner. I called and set up an appointment with Maguire and when we got to the garage, we were told they had to order the part that day and it would be in, in about a week. We drive from Elmira to honor the appointments. Its a little frustrating.

Purchased a used 2018 Sorento from a dealer in Oswego. Driving home noticed a rubbing noise on the passenger side front tire. Scheduled an early appt to get checked out and waited for vehicle. Over 2 hours the tech investigated my complaint but could not find anything other than somewhat loose lug nuts. During the wait Ryan kept me up-to-date with my vehicle. Ryan is kind, professional, communicative and forthcoming - all traits I have come to appreciate from Maguire dealerships employees. I will definitely take my vehicles to Maguire and will recommend to friends and family. Cheers.

Purchased a 2011 Sonata in 2011. The car didnt have mats. I called and was told that it was to late there was nothing they can do. So the following month I purchased a second vehicle at drivers village. I decided to give this place another shot and purchased a new 2018 Sorrento. The bluetooth is not compatible with android. The manufacturer offered $500 for me to purchase a $800 iPhone. Again I went to the dealership and was not taken care of. So here I am with deja vu. Its time to replace my wife sportage in the next month or two and I will not be coming here to purchase it. Shouldve stuck with drivers village. Update: Maguire has reached out to me and cleared up a simple misunderstanding therefore I have changed my review to 5 stars. Definitely have to give credit to Maguire for doing all they can to turn me in to a happy customer. They have now gained a customer for life and I will be purchasing all future vehicles with Maguire!

The Maquire family is essentially a dealership monopoly in Ithaca and they act like it. I brought a car in to have a tire repaired. When I returned home I realized that the spare tire was left in the back of the minivan instead of being hoisted up underneath the car. When I went to put it back the hoist was zip tied underneath. It turns out that the crank to raise the tire was broken. Now, I took out the spare tire and cranked the support back up before I took the car in. In other words, it worked when I brought the car to Maquire. Clearly, they knew something was wrong and did not bother to say anything to me. The service person said nothing when I picked up the car and there was nothing written on the paper work. I left a message for a service manager and so far no return call.

I bought my 2015 Kia Optima here. I didnt feel pressured to buy it either. Now that i bring it up for services, they never try to upsell. I just get whatever I need done.
