When I got home this afternoon I had noticed a sound from my tire and knew it was a leak. I searched through google noticed this place was open. Called let them know what was going on they said they could get me in.Thank for you getting me in last minute to fix my tire

Wow DONT take your car here if you have low tire pressure! They will try to sell you 3-4 new tires! Came in on 10/23/21 and my Rep was DANIELA. She told me that the technician inspected my tire for leak (they did not) and filled all 4 tires with air (they did not). My tire pressure on all 4 tires is EXACT SAME BEFORE I rolled into this Firestone location! They will try to sell you new tires based on slightly worn tread wear! Steer clear of this store!

We have been bringing our vehicles to this location for a couple years now. Basic services, oil changes, tire rotations etc and never had any issues. We set our online appointment up over a week ago and never got a confirmation but it wasnt the first time so no big deal. Called on our way there to just check in and the woman who answered tells us they dont do appointments on Sundays and theyre online appointment thing is kind of messed up . Okay, fine, probably something you should look into sooner than later but whatever. Asked if we can still get in since we are leaving for a small trip tomorrow morning, she says yeah they should and then proceeds to tell me they wont take the coupons we get on our phones, they have to be printed. I asked why that was since they(meaning the COMPANY) has always taken them or just put them in on their own without even seeing them. She said, and I quote, well, THEYRE NOT HERE, *insert snotty condescending tone* and if we got audited it could be bad.Really?! Okay cool...you do you sweetheart, click.Got my oil changed and tires rotated within a half hour after this at a sister store that we will now frequent.Oh, and they just pulled the coupons up in the system and attached them...as usual. 😑🤔

They are very knowledgeable and explain things well, while showing it to you. Mark was awesome!! I highly recommend their services.

Flat tire at the mall. Stopped to see if they could put air in the spare I put on and they were very helpful so went in to check on getting a tire 2 hours before closing. They were busy and had mutiple people ahead of me but they said they would get new tires on before they closed. They even put the spare back in place for me.

Less than a week ago I had a brand new tire put on at another Firestone. As soon as I got on the expressway the new tire was giving me trouble. Somehow I made it to Merriville, and they took me right away. I appreciated the quick service and the thorough check of the rest of my tires as well.

We made an unexpected stop here yesterday when our cars radiator more or less self-destructed after the first few hours of a road trip. Even though we stopped in late on a Friday afternoon (and without an appointment), we were able to get the car seen within about 90 min, and then a mechanic that was about to go home for the day stayed for another 90 min to fix it. (They even gave us the broken fan as a souvenir). Very grateful to the workers at this Firestone for getting us back on the road so quickly! It was a stressful situation and they really helped us out!

This place has bad communication skills with its customers. When you offer to help someone in my opinion you should do it. There needs to be better training for ALL the employees at this place.

Scheduled an appointment on 3 March 2021 to have my winter tires changed over to summer tires. I arrive and call to let them know I was at the store.I get asked what type of tires and did I purchase them through them. I let them know what type of tire and at first I thought I did purchase them through but after looking further it was through Tire Rack.I was at first informed that since my tires weren’t purchased in the store they won’t mount them. Then the sales rep backtracks and mentions they can install them but they can’t be outside tires.Then i was informed that because my tires were mounted somewhere else they won’t touch them. That makes zero sense, that’s like saying because my tires were rotated by another place you wouldn’t rotate them.That tactic is absurd because not only are you locking customers in because if they go somewhere else they cant come back to get tires remounted unless they buy a new set AND you’re locking honest new customers out because they have tires mounted and balanced by another place.So let me ask you this, what’s stopping a dishonest customer from saying they are placing on brand new never before mounted when in actuality they had it mounted and balanced else were prior?Make your “policy” make sense. You’ve lost a customer.

I arrived at 7 am when it opened and was first in line for a simple oil change. I was asked if i had a little bit of time because it would take an hour and a half. How? No one is in front of me and i was the first customer. Why would it take an hour and a half. Slow slow slow. Service is slow. I can only how bad and slow it is with people actually ahead of you

This is where I go to get my truck worked on. Price is average and service is what you would expect. Never had a problem from mechanics so I keep coming back.

Everything went well. This was my first time there and they did a great job.

Had a death wobble at 65 mph on my front passenger side. Took my car here was told I had a snapped axel roughly 600 with the 200 in diagnostic charge. Came home with literally nothing changed. Had a family friend take a look saying my hub assembly were grinding. I swapped both hub assembly on the front end, still had the same problem figured Id give them a second chance and had my wife take it in. Somehow a week later and a female driver showing up im told I need over 3000$ in random repairs INCLUDING THE BRAND NEW HUB ASSEMBLIES I just put on. I gave them another 900 for everything to do with my front end. There is still no change to my car. If you wanna burn money or are a female avoid this place like covid 19.

I had to take the rental car i was driving in here to have the tire fixed cause it had a nail in it. They had 23 rentals in that day for service and got me in while dealing with all that. Even if i wanted to take the car back and let them due it they didnt have a car to give back too me, so thats why i did it. They serviced the car too cause it was due, but i would have done it if it was my own so it didnt bother me. Firestone was very nice to me and i had no problems with them.

Terrible. Overpriced and upcharged everytime. Changed the wrong part on a belt, lubed the part that needed to be replaced so Id pay and realize once I left hrs later they didnt fix the issue I asked for. Someone tried to save themselves from a misdiagnosed issue. They couldve taken off the part and inspected it to find that wasnt the issue instead of hiding it. Buyer beware!

I called this location because I have been buying my tires from Firestone for more than 15 years. I explained that I had a bit of an emergency, I am a volunteer firefighter and have had to stop for air on late night calls due to a slow leak. I was told they could get me in quickly. Not much less than three hours later I am told that the tire isnt repairable and that they dont stock the size either (2020 Stinger). I wasnt told why it wasnt repairable even after I asked. I had to Google it and find out that they use a patch and plug repair that requires a half inch on either side. I looked at the tire and not only was there an inch nd half I could care less about the patch I just wanted a plug. I suppose its better to have a slow leak and a nail in my tire than a plug according to them. Then I get in my car pull out to 30 and my TPS shows 45, 39, 38 and 37 PSI, I had just left Jify Lube prior to going to Firestone and my TPS reported 33 in the front and 34 in the rear as it should when I left there. I called to see if they would fix it but Danny wouldnt even let me talk to the manager about it. Anyway I found the service and professionalism to be very poor. I dont recommend this location whatsoever. Other customers coming in with complaints while I was there too. Mark and Danny should be ashamed of themselves.

Well, store#016012 did me a terrible injustice, and then on top of it, the manager told me to please not come back. he didnt care he was being rude to me in a shop full of customers. retail invoice#249466 alignment 12 month for 95.99 on 2/18/19. well, apparently he put it on my receipt, and the courtesy check, and have the nerve to blame it on me, because i didnt ask any questions over what i thought hed done. also, retail invoice#016012-the front left probably came from him, too, because he did work on it, before. well, i told him that that front left was ruined because he didnt tell me about the alignment issue. that was on the courtsey check too, as yellow, but he didnt care about any of it.

I went in to get my already over priced tires fixed with a warranty I had already paid for, to be told that my tire would not be done until 2... after waiting 1.5 hrs for one tire was told 2 the next day... and I would have to pay an additional 25$ for the warranty... so its like the cost of 2 set of tires... they are crooks and do not not care about quality or service. Let this business fail on its own do not go here.

After today, my experience is absolutely terrible. I am sitting inside Firestone extremely agitated and angry due to the fact I have to come out of pocket paying $70 for a tire that I asked them about when I replaced all 3. I have paid $159 for each of my 3 tires plus change. So we’re looking at a little over $477. All of my tires were bought from Firestone, and I get the high mileage tires. I have been a loyal customer since 7-23-2017. I feel that these tires are extremely overpriced. $159 is not worth it paying for 1 tire. I feel this company is a complete rip off as well as other things I had to pay for on my car. I have now went to mechanics that my friends & family have referred me to because of the substantial amount of money I have to pay here. I mean this is absolutely ridiculous. So now I am going to have to shop around for tire shops & repair.

When my car broke down more than 300 miles from home the entire staff at this Firestone rallied to make sure that my family was safe and our car was well taken care of. They diagnosed the problem, were flexible as we tried to make arrangements to tow the vehicle back home, amd helped me push our vehicle up onto a tow dolly. They were even kind to my dog while we were there. Its not normal for me to include restored my faith in humanity in a review for an auto care facility. But, honestly, during this difficult time when meanness seems to be everywhere they reflected there best of what we can all be.

If I could give more then 5 stars I would. I purchased an older car from a dealer and while the dealer was working hard to get things right I came to Firestone to get things resolved. I had to come more then once, not because of Firestone but because of the dealer putting wrong parts on. Nick, Rob, and Jake are wonderful service writers. So caring and detailed. The mechanic Josh and I apologize I can not remember the other ones name were amazing. They spotted the wrong part on the car and took so much time going over all the issues on the vehicle so I could have the dealer properly get fixed. I am so grateful the dealer had no problem having Firestone do the alignment. It is such a joy to deal with such great folks. Thank you.

Second chance was worse. Scheduled an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation and waited over 1.5hour and still waiting..... first time here it took all day to get new tires on after having an 8am appointment. Also the manager had no mask on, the other attendant in the shop had his at his chin and the third had hers half on.... will never be returning I’m sure the merrillville store will be the next to close!

I made an appointment a few days ago online for an alignment. I verified the length of time it would take when I arrived. After sitting for an hour and 15 minutes, my car still had not been taken back. I am now leaving. Dont offer online appointments if the location doesnt honor them.

National Rental car referred me to hear given almost flat tire. Mgr said shop had closed an hour ago but he stayed to help me out. No charge but I tipped well for his time. Amazing service.

Website prompted me to make an appointment so I did and I received an email saying my appointment was in and if there was a problem someone from the store would call me . 4 hours after I made the appointment I show up and am told it will be 3 hours until they have an opening . I informed them I had an appointment and was told they don’t take appointments on Sunday. When I stated I didn’t know why I’d be prompted to make an appointment the man stated “I don’t know either, everyone does that” Not an apology for waisting my time or anything . In the 4 hrs my appointment was made no one could pick up a phone and call and let me know ? Clearly this is an issue they frequently run into so don’t waste your time here . Very unprofessional and I’ll be sure to let everyone know to not waste their time here .

Will post a review after the services are done.Update, services were wonderful. I was quoted a higher price and they were able to get the price down to a lower price. Made online appointment for complete auto check to be told online appointment doesnt generate to store. Was told to come in after telling them what I needed. When I got there was told they dont have a diagonstic tech on Sundays.....what a waste of time and gas!!!

The guys were helpful and very courteous. They took the time to explain what was going on with the car and what repairs were absolutely needed and which ones could wait. Id recommend this location to anyone needing repairs or even just an oil change.

Called to get an estimate on a diagnosis, and spoke with a Gary on the phone. He had such a polite phone manner, I felt less anxious about going. I wanted one thing checked, and I wanted a quote, they said it would cost me 1700.00 + to put it back on the road. What a joke. I did the work myself for less than 250.00. Will never go there again.

Scheduled appointment through online Firestone, but it didnt coordinate with the Merrillville shop. Went in and Gary was great, they didnt have the tires I priced in stock so he gave me a good deal on some better tires and worked me into the schedule. He said it would be late afternoon but they were able to get it done earlier. I am very pleased with the service, excellent customer service, and clean facility. Highly recommended!

Great Service! All Professional. Needed wheel alignment and oil change. No appointment slots available but They offered to squeeze me in if I dropped my car off. All work done ! I recommend purchasing lifetime wheel alignment for the extra $, especially if you have AWD! Its worth the $ and Firestone shops are conveniently located all over!!!!

I had a horrible experience here. I called when they opened and asked if they had any tires that would fit my car and if I could come in that night to get them out on my car. The person I talked to said they did have tires and how he was going to try and save them for me. I called back 20 minutes later and asked if could pay for the tires and schedule an appointment just in case and the person said I didn’t have to and that I was all set for that afternoon. I get there that afternoon and the man I then spoke with was so rude to me. He said that they had the tires but I had to come in the week after or possibly after that. I calmly explained the conversation from earlier and the man didn’t try to rectify the situation at all or even try to apologize for the miscommunication. He just said that he didn’t know who i talked to and how all i could do was come back. I left and went somewhere else and had AMAZING customer service at the Hyundai dealership down the street. While I might have paid a little more there, I was treated ssssoooo kindly as compared to Firestone. I will NEVER go back to Firestone or refer anyone there.

Great service when you can actually get an appointment. I scheduled one online and called on the day of service, when I arrived they told me their online appointment system doesn’t work and that I would have to schedule a time with them for another day.Waste of time, gas, and energy.

This is the best place in NWI to bring your car! Thier staff is caring and helped me understand exactly what my car needed, without adding any unnecessary extras. They have the best mechanics around, who do a thorough and safe job, and is the main reason Ill keep bringing my car back. The guys at the counter are super friendly, and made me feel comfortable leaving my car with them.

Joel is a service manager that is honest and cares about his customers. He wont shy away from repair times or give false promises. Had a full set of firestones put on in about an hour. Excellent service and timely. Will be coming here for all future tire service. Appointments do work if they dont get slammed or if you call and confirm. Dont let others lack of forethought turn you away.

Took my car in when it was making a noise(I have previously used a location in Indy while traveling and my car died. In under 6 hours they had me back on the road) they have a service where they give the car a full look over and see what problems it might have for $10, you cant beat that. About 40 mins later found out it was the tie rod. The quote that they gave me to fix that was a bit steep for me, ( know a guy who would do for half) told the guy as such and he was cool about it no pressure or guff. So for $10 I had a list of all the stuff I need to fix. Cant beat that.

If you like making appointments and then never getting taken....well then look no further. Bring your car here. Nothing like making an appointment at 1pm for an oil change to have them tell you it would be an hour... Hour and a half tops for your car. Just to wait around with my toddler and have them tell me TWO HOURS later they haven’t even started my car. Then when I asked the front desk why they still hadn’t taken my car his excuse was “we’re like a doctors office”. Last time I checked it doesn’t take a medical degree to change oil and it shouldn’t take 3 hours either. What’s the point of the appointment???? I’m so dissapointed. My mother spends thousands if not more sending her work trucks here and then they can’t even handle a simple oil change for me. Again extremely disappointing

Terrible service brought my truck in for an alignment at 1oclock nobody was in front of me. the guy asked me what time I would be back to pick it up I said around 4 oclock was told that that would be no problem since there was nobody ahead of me. I come back at 5:15 later then I said. to find out my truck was not even looked at yet and that there was now people that have went ahead of me and my truck has still not been looked at. Then was told they tried to contact me which they never did. Very disappointed will not be going back.still have not got my truck back and it is 5:45

Only car repair facility open on a Sunday. Alternator went out and had to have vehicle towed on a Saturday night. Called them on Sunday, explained what I needed done and they fixed my vehicle.

I wish that I could give 0 stars!!! I recently went to get an oil change here. I had an scheduled appointment and still had to wait over an hour. I attempted to use a coupon for $24.99 (oil change) that I had; and was given excuses WHY the coupon wasnt applicable. Not to mention the guy was rude and pushy!! I saw the guy pull my car to the front and waited for 10 minutes before I went to ask if my car was finished.A couple days later my car began making an unusual sound; they did NOT top off my fluids and I didnt have ANY transmission fluid in my car and I DID ask if they topped off the fluids! I will NEVER patronize this place again and I dont recommend YOU do either!!!

Ive been here 3.5 hours. To change 1 tire. A 20 minute job has taken 3.5 hours..... So far. Im considering ordering some Chinese and just staying the night.

Asked for synthetic oil change, it was even written on the engine. The guy came back out to confirm I wanted synthetic, they gave me conventional. They also stripped the oil plug.🤷 Theyre dinks

Horrible communication and customer service after a mistake was made. I took my SUV in for an alignment specifically and elected to have tires rotated and an oil change as well. My chief complaint when I dropped it off for my appointment was that the back end felt loose and out of alignment. I was satisfied with my service and experience until I got home and looked at my invoice and realized they did not even align the back end because the adjusters were seized. This was hand written in and noone mentioned this at all to me on my voicemail to come get the car or when I paid for the alignment and other services. When I called to inquire about this, the man who answered never apologized for their error in communication and couldn’t seem to understand my displeasure with their lack of communication and the lack of fixing my chief complaint while allowing me to pay for the full alignment. After 15 minutes on the phone going in circles with this man, I said Thanks and hung up. I will not be returning to this location.

Amazing service! They told us our oil change would take 45 mins but it was ready in less than 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and not pushy at all like you would expect. Called 20 mins ahead of time and they were able to get me in immediately around 4 pm on a weekday. Great service and the best price for me. I will definitely be returning to the Merrillville IN store.

Absolutely the worst mechanics shop I’ve ever heard of. These people scammed my mother 400$ to check her car and told her it was 4 grand to fix tire rods and bearings, it’s mechanic shops like this place that give people a bad name. Trying to take advantage of people who put their trust for their vehicle in their hands. Absolutely rediculous. Take your business local and forget about this horrible corporation.
