Made an appointment this morning at the Merrillville location. Staff very friendly and professional. When I arrived at the shop the Manager carried a chair outside for me to be comfortable due to Social Distancing. I didnt even ask, he volunteered. They brought my car in within 20 minutes and fixed my tire stem right away and did it for NO CHARGE!!! I thought I had a nail in my tire or a bent rim, they didnt try to get over on me. They were very HONEST. Their prices for other services are very reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I will most definitely be returning in the future.

Best experience and customer service is amazing!!!! If anyone goes to this Mavis...ask for Calvin he listens to what his customer wants and needs. I was very impressed.

I went there for front brakes and rotors after Ford told me it would cost over $400 and Mavis beat that price by nearly $100. They got me in fast and out fast and the employees were great. I always end up coming back.

This place was amazing and open on a Sunday. Keith was really amazing and polite and explained the pricing and service timing to me. The waiting area was cool and clean.

Although this business has gone though severalname changes in at least the last 25 years or so,like many companies they have held on to their best knowledgeable employees. This is what keeps me going back. Being female its always good to know and trust good mechanics to help keep your vehicle operational. And also outstanding service managers to oversee their work.

First impressions can be deceiving.The store looked OK when I walked in and the employee who wrote my work order up seemed to know his job.I left the car, and a few hours later they called to say the job was done.We live less than two miles from the store, and by the time we drove home the brakes were grinding, and the right rear wheel was so hot you couldnt touch it.Also - there were food wrappers in the car, and the steering wheel was so greasy my wifes hands were black from the short drive home.I took it back and they supposedly fixed the issue claiming that they had to clean something and tighten a loose pin.When I got the car home this time, I closed the door and noticed the rocker panel flapping. Apparently when they put the car on the hoist they broke the rocker panel and just shoved it back in position hoping I wouldnt notice it.STAY AWAY from this business.Update: I contacted the business office and they were apalled by what I told them. They promised that they would get me a full refund. After not hearing back for a few days, I took the car to another brake shop, and had it inspected. They advised that the Emergency brake was rubbing, and charged me for an hours labor to adjust it.I called the business office again, and asked when I was going to hear back. An hour later I got a call from the store manager who asked what would satisfy me. I agreed to the cost of the other shops repairs, and $50 for time spent and inconvenience.I wont do any further business with them, since there were multiple issues besides the improperly done brake job.But I am somewhat pleased that they did provide a partial refund.

I appreciated the direct, honest, knowledgeable and kind service. I was told I needed a wheel alignment at another business. I came to Mavis because their price was much more reasonable.They ran a test at the beginning and showed me that I DIDNT need to have an alignment. I appreciated their honesty.

I went into NTB on Tuesday June 6th to repair a tire that had a nail in it. They didn’t even repair the tire with a nail and left all of my other tires at low air pressure. I asked if they checked the other tires and they assured me that they had but when I cranked my car the tire air pressure light was on still. I had to put air in the other tires and get a brand new tire from somewhere that actually provides the services I paid for.But that is not what upsets me. The mechanic I had removed my air intake system valve. On June 13th my car stopped in the middle of the street. Luckily I made it back home. I had to get my car towed to a shop where they charged $72 to replace the valve. This is not a part that just falls off your car. It has to be physically removed.This could have caused an accident. I drive my niece, cousins and other family in this car. I will never go back to this shady location.

Came in because my valve stems were stuck on my tire. I was riding on 2 flats! I met Keith and he took care of me on the spot for free, I was in and out within 10 minutes! This is how you gain loyal customers.

Wish there was a way to post 0 stars! Misleading! Overcharged! Hit with bigger bill all because the guy talked me into a “0 interest” loan that actually has a daily interest. I have a full warranty and service contract on my tires at another place in town, so when I realized I was having trouble with one of my tires leaking, I tried to take it in, but they are a first come, first serve facility. After three days, I gave up.I then went to Mavis, fully expecting an exorbitant charge, but at that point, I had to choice. The gentlemen at Mavis took me right away, clearly showed me that it was a damaged valve stem and sensor, and they had me out of there in less than an hour and they charged me less than a hundred bucks. Even though I have an unconditional warranty at the original shop, I will go to Mavis from this point on.

Had to get a new set of tires quickly & I managed to do so at this location for a fair price.. Malcolm did a great job making sure I was able to leave as fast as possible!

Been going here for a few years now and never have I any issues. Each experience is always a pleasant one. All team members are friendly and super informative. Keith, however is my preferred mechanic whenever I stop in. He always goes above and beyond. Since coming to Mavis, I’ve referred my mom as well as my brother and we all stand highly satisfied! Came in on a Sunday I thought I had a 9:00 appointment but I must have been mistaken my son at a football game and I needed my tires right away even though my appointment was not really for that day and I got there at 9:07 the young black man text me right away make sure I got to my phone and Ive never had such fast tire replacement The entire staff is totally awesome I will not take my car anywhere else.

I came in to Mavis for the 1st time based on a recommendation from a family member to have 4 new tires installed and was helped by Derek. He was very courteous and professional in his interaction and answers to my questions. He made the experience very enjoyable and even went out of his way to help me install wiper blades. Derek deserves 5 stars as I have decided to come to Mavis for all my automotive maintenance.

I will never return..i had them install new aftermarket wheels and tires..they didnt know how to and instead of referring me to another shop they tried to do the work and badly scratched one of my wheels. In stead of telling me I had to see it on my own..i was host and returned to the store and was made to wait for 3 hours. Customers with no appointment went before me I finally just left. My advice DONT GO TO MAVIS TIRES &BRAKES!!!!

Saw a special for brakes and called the shop, everyone was professional and courteous from the phone call til the moment I paid and left. Social distancing and mask were in place and I was in and out quickly on a Saturday morning. The special was honored as well. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because my dashboard indicated my tires were low on air, I forgot to mention it and they didnt either. I still highly recommend the shop.

I caught a flat tire on my way home from work. This shop was the closest place I could stop in and get service right away. I wanted to replace one tire but the discounts were so low I decided to go ahead and replace two. This shop is not crowded and has implemented precautions for coronavirus such as social distancing and face masks. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I stopped in yesterday evening afterwork and spoke with Calvin about an issue with my car. He made me aware that it would be a little while since I did have a few cars in front of me. I decided to leave my car and grab some dinner down the street. Shortly after, he called me to give me his recommendation on how to proceed. I didnt feel pressured, which is always nice. I wound up purchasing two front tires and getting a wheel alignment. I can’t thank mavis tire shop enough for the fast and reliable services that was given to me. I had my tires and brakes and rotors checked. As well as my suspension. Brought my car in for new brakes in January. Service was great. Decided to bring in another vehicle for brakes - providing additional revenue for Mavis. Arrived in parking lot at 7:57 AM for 8 AM Appt. Went to the door and saw two staff in the lobby at a computer. It is ZERO degrees. Wasn’t even acknowledged. An employee pulls up at 8 AM. He walks to the door and I said hello. As he opens the door, I’m told that they open at 9 AM. The sign on their door clearly states 8 AM. When I asked why I wasn’t let in, I was told about some ‘ policies and procedures ‘ If this is how they treat a repeat customer, no thanks.

I went about a month ago to get my breaks done. Keith was helpful. The service was fast and efficient.

They understand that it is Sales and being friendly to people makes sales possible. We spend our money with people we like.

Outstanding customer service. Was not able to pick up my car once it was ready due to some personal reasons. I called and talked to the manager Calvin and he could not have been more understanding. A month later when I was finally able to get there to pick it up, my car was buried in snow and had a dead battery. Once again the manager was so nice, came out with a broom brushed off my car and had one of his employees jumpstart my car not once but three times before we were finally able to get it running again.Everyone I called and talked to, Calvin and Keith in particular, were extremely polite and helpful. Definitely recommend this establishment.
