The entire process of selling our car was seamless. We first acquired a quote online and then made an appointment at a local CarMax location. We were greeted quickly and discussed additional features on our vehicle that we weren’t able to include online. After the inspection and submission of the pictures, the CarMax representative came back with an even higher offer and we accepted on the spot. The entire process on site took only about an hour and we left with check in our hands. The offer was right on target and we left with smiles on our face. I would do this again in a heartbeat. Much quicker and easier process than an online or newspaper listing for sure!

I went online it was very late and I booked an appointment to Norman CarMax the next day. They confirmed it sent me and email and I was on my way. I arrived greeted well waited a few minutes and the process started. I was told leave the keys waited and walked the lot a bit and told an email with offer will be in about 30 to 45 minutes. Upon receipt I was very pleased and continued the process on selling my vehicle. Amazing staff very quick very attentive. Everyone around me was also smiling and was taken care of. Did not feel like a car dealership. Very straightforward very fast service with a smile.

It was very nice! Carmax gave us exactly what the online quote was, which was a pleasant surprise from what some companies do. We highly recommend Carmax! We plan on going there in the future to buy or sell before anywhere else after our first experience there.

Although the car I was purchasing over the phone (I live in Arkansas)was at the Tulsa location, Shamilla made it such a easy process & explained everything I needed to know& was so helpful, professional& walked me through everything. I brought in my Mustang for an appraisal and hopefully a straight up sale. Appraisal went very smoothly, offer amount was great, so we proceeded with the sale. All went smoothly and left with payment in-hand. This is the 2nd great experience (in as many visits) Ive had at CarMax in Norman, OK.

My husband and I recently sold our 2008 Honda Fit to CarMax in Norman and it was a wonderful experience! The process was incredibly simple and they offered us a very fair amount for the car. There was an issue with our title but the associate told us how to fix the issue and how to keep it from delaying our transaction. He even went the extra mile by calling the tag agency to have them fax a corrected document so that we could sell our car that day. He truly went above and beyond and we were incredibly impressed with the service we received. The facility was spotless, including the restrooms, and it was obvious they take COVID precautions very seriously. This was so much simpler than trying to sell our car in a private party sale. This will be our first stop for any future car sales or if we are ever in the market for a used car. This is truly some of the best customer service I have ever received. I give them the highest recommendation!

Went in weekend with an appointment, waited 45 minutes and left.Went back in Monday and was seen very quickly. Left and had a question. Called and waited on hold for 30 minutes. Hung up and drove back. Lots of staff around.Appraisal was fast, fair but a bit low. The rest of dealing with them was incredibly slow 2 out of 3 times.

I did the online quote and was satisfied with their offer so I scheduled an appointment. I arrived a little before my scheduled time and acknowledged immediately. They started the in-person verification process right at my scheduled time and had my offer within 30 min. I had a check in hand 10 min later and was out the door. Very smooth process. Very personable staff. Ill go back in a few years when its time for a new car!

The experience overall was really great. The only complaint I have is that I had an appointment at 6pm and didnt get in until 7pm that same night. The person we worked with was fabulous, and he was very easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this to a friend to sell their car.

My daughter is needing to purchase a new car due to having her old car totaled after hitting a deer. We arrive and check in only to stand around for about 25 minutes until someone comes out to tell us it will be a challenge to have anyone help us today and that we were welcome to look online. I explained to him that her insurance is only paying for a rental until Monday and she needed to act quickly. He reiterated that it would be a challenge to help her today. What I heard was, that they didnt really want her business today. It would have been nice for them to tell us that up front instead of making us wait for as long as we did. If I could have written this review and given them zero stars, I would have. I definitely will not return to this business.

Very nice people and easy to work with.I dont know what was in the carpet in the luggage-storage area. It was greasy/oily. My daughter had to throw away a pair of her jeans because she was on her knees in there scrubbing the carpet. I bought a rug to put back there so it wouldnt come off on anything else. It is also greasy in the spare tire well. Havent cleaned that yet.

Weve bought several cars from carmax and theyve all been mechanically sound and lasted a long time. If you like fighting with car sales people dont come here. If you hate fighting with car sales people like I do, come here. Youll have to pay that pesky dealership fee of a few hundred dollars but thats a drop in the bucket of a purchase this size and Ive had good luck here. And everyone who comes here gets offered the same price for the same car. No tricks.

I drove 45 min to carmax only to find out they were short staffed after I got there. I had an appt which I arrived on time for. The receptionist said I might have to wait a little bit due to their manning. I wasn’t too worried except my appt was set for 7:30 and they close at 8. 8:15 rolls around and there’s no update from staff about whether they’re even going to be able to see me or not. At this point id already been waiting 45 min and even if they eventually were able to get me in, the appt would still last 15-30 min AND I still had a long drive back home. I ended up just leaving. I wish they had called before I drove 45 min one way, I could have rescheduled. Huge waste of time.

Selling my car with Carmax Norman was fast and easy. I received an offer for my Corvette from Carmax through Edmunds TMV that was fair and reasonable. Ethan was my appraiser and I cant say enough great things about him. Ethan was personable, professional, and expedient. The whole selling process took an hour and a half and I was out the door with check in hand for exactly the amount of their online offer. This was my first experience with Carmax but if this is indicative of their norm I will not hesitate to buy or sell with them in the future. If youre in the market to buy or sell a vehicle at least give Carmax Norman a look, you wont be disappointed. Be sure and ask for Ethan too.

1/2 of the staff were incorrectly masked with their noses uncovered and the vehicle I came to see had a 4” scratch in the center of the rear door. Had a great experience selling my car at the Edmond location a few years ago and that brought me back but this was a much different experience.

Polite staff, they dont jump on you. They shipped a car up from one of their stores in TX and cleaned it up nicely so I could text drive it. Finally bought the car. They post the price and you take it or leave it. Fair prices. Would use them again.

My selling/buying experience at CarMax was about as ideal as things can get. I love my Kia Optima, which I thought was something Id never say about a Kia. Carmax helped me find a low miles one-owner Kia that came about as fully loaded as it gets with options packages for the Optima. Carmax financing is very easy to work with, and end-to-end about the most painless process Ive ever experienced. Decent rate, should have been a bit better but reasonable. Easy to re-fi later.Buying a car has generally been a stressful endeavor in the past for me. This was not. It was easy. Ian (ian), the sales rep that helped me get through the process was so good at what he does! Chill and relaxed, easy to relate to, all while staying professional and knowing the product he was selling very well. I am grateful for his help. And I am grateful for CarMax, this was the least stressful way to commit 5 years of payments to something Ive ever done.

Best place to buy a car! We were in and out in under 2 hours and that included them appraising my old car, test driving it and paperwork. If you dont want to haggle, or just want to sell yours theyll give you an offer good for a week.

Our minivan purchase was the best car buying experience either of us has ever had. We had a budget and the minivan we wanted in mind. CarMaxs website allowed me to shop their inventory nationwide. I found the minivan we wanted with all the bells and whistles within our budget in another state. We were able to pay an affordable transfer fee and have the minivan transferred to our local CarMax. Once it arrived we were notified immediately to come and take it for a test drive. Upon arrival we were informed they found a scratch upon inspection on the exterior of the vehicle and would take care of fixing it before we completed our purchase to meet their car selling standards. My husband appreciated that very much. The gentlemen at the dealership were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The purchase process was well explained and an easy transaction. I highly recommend CarMax to fellow car shoppers. We will gladly purchase from them again in the future.

Dont allow someone to test drive a car they had shipped in for over $400 with dog hair stains everywhere and then tell them we dont deep clean just vacuum. Worse car Ive ever seen at CarMax. Bought a car else where. They did give us a refund on the transfer though and were kind about it.Thank you for the response. I agree usually CarMax is an excellent choice to buy from. My family have bought several vehicles from them. They just happened to miss the mark at this location for me.

After shopping around the OKC area and having dealers send us links to cars we were not even looking for, my family stopped into Carmax to see what they had. First off, we were treated like human beings and no one rushed us to buy the biggest car on the lot. Second thing was that all of the prices were listed clear and plain. There were no hidden charges or prices based on my credit score, the listed price was what we paid. We found the car we wanted online from a different Carmax location and the shipped it up to the Norman location in about a week. They were happy to help with all of our questions and worked with our bank to get the loan approved (Other dealers wouldnt even talk to our bank and insisted that we go through their loan department). Then there was our trade in, we were hoping to get a little out of our old family car that had been good to us for the last ten years. We got right at the Blue Book trade in for it which was a pleasing surprise.I am not the type of person who gets a car all that often, mostly due to the fact that I hate pushy sales people. Will definitely go to Carmax first next time around.

This was my first time buying a car from someone I didnt know personally, and it was much better than I thought it would be. I, of course, had researched the makes and models I was interested in ahead of time, and Carmax was just one of many dealerships I visited that day. This new location in Norman had 4 I was interested in. Rachel O helped me test drive all 4 vehicles, and was kind and respectful. I was really impressed, and even though I didnt wind up buying my new car from them, Ill never forget that they provided a comfortable, stress-free atmosphere for car shopping. The only reason my review isnt 5 stars is that 2 out of the 4 vehicles I looked at had something wrong with them that should have been apparent to anyone before the car was put on the lot. On one of them the hood latch didnt work, so to get it to open you had to bang on the drivers side windshield corner of the hood. The other car had a severe vibration as soon as it got above 30mph, which changed to violent once on the highway. I believed them when they said both of the issues would immediately be fixed; it was just odd that both of the problems were so basic and easy to notice. The other two cars I looked at were great.

They are really friendly and arent pushy like most dealerships. Definately made the car buying process much easier and less stressful.
